Publisher's summary

Moon’s Rise has fallen.

And with it the last chance to make a stand on the western continent and gain the attention of the Solar Flare. Areya and Zen are forced to flee, but find the northern woods are hiding much more than they expected. The Inhumans, once thought to be killed off, are alive and well, hidden under the remnants of Night’s Fall, waiting for their chance to strike again.

Alliances strain from past events, making the question of what to do next even tougher. Zen is forced to come from the shadows to get control of himself, while Areya struggles to understand her purpose. Across the sea, their only hope stands as a beacon of innovation and diplomacy. Their only chance now lies in the hands of the Duchess, who they must convince to join their war.

improvement over book 1

First off, I loved the book! The dialogue has improved a good bit and the writer has found their footing! The narrator was also better in this book, still a few misread words or weird tones at points but over all an improvement. I'm excited for book 3 when it comes out!
