About this listen

Cassie's about to find out real life isn't always like in the movies....

When a book publisher is murdered in Notting Hill, Cassie doesn't initially think much about it, besides making all the references to the Julia Roberts romcom she possibly can. But when it turns out the victim was killed twice, the case gets a lot more interesting.

Dealing with a number of interesting personalities, Violet and Cassie have to wade through the world of writers, who are used to making everything up. But one of them is lying about killing their boss. Will Cassie and Violet get to the bottom of the case before the book is closed on both of them?

The Cassie Coburn mysteries are a cozy mystery series featuring a Sherlock Holmes-style sleuth. If you want a light, fun, modern mystery featuring a San Francisco girl totally out of her element in London, and a crazy French woman who happens to be very good at noticing things, then this is the series for you.

Love this series!

I hope Audible gets more books. My family and I have enjoyed every book in the series. They’re well written, narrated, entertaining, clever, and no swearing or sex. It’s hard to find adult books that aren’t “adult.” I also appreciate that the mysteries don’t give me nightmares from being too dark.

Enjoyable

It is what it is. Cozy mysteries with a decent plot line. It's a good palette cleanser between heavier books. I wish Violet wasn't French. The accent is annoying.
