About this listen
How can I have hurt my own child? Why am I so angry at my husband? What is it like to be in the heart and mind of an out-of-control mother? What is it like to hate yourself so much that you plan to take your own life? What is it like to believe God has given up on you and there is no hope? What is it like to see the emotional and physical pain you're inflicting on your child? The rest of the story....
You'll also learn what it's like to see anger replaced by patience. You'll also learn what it's like to overcome suicidal thoughts. You'll also learn what it's like to know God never gives up on you. You'll also learn what it's like to see healing in the lives of those you wounded. Kathy Collard Miller tells the riveting true story of being an angry and abusive mother.
At the same time, she was a Christian who prayed for an instantaneous deliverance of her deep-seated anger. God answered yes through a process of growth. He also healed her relationship with her husband. Is "no more anger" possible? Let Kathy's story assure you through hope and God's help, the answer is "Yes!" - Carol Kent, author, speaker.

Story
There is a voice of longing inside each woman. We strive so mightily to be good: good partners, daughters, mothers, employees, and friends. We hope all this striving will make us feel alive. Instead, it leaves us feeling weary, stuck, overwhelmed, and underwhelmed. We look at our lives and wonder: Wasn’t it all supposed to be more beautiful than this? We quickly silence that question, telling ourselves to be grateful, hiding our discontent—even from ourselves.

Do you believe your struggle with anger stems from the wrong behavior you see displayed in your children? The knee-jerk reactions and blowups you're facing are often a result of a bigger set of "triggers". Some of these are external, like a child's disobedience, back talk, or selective hearing, while others are internal, like an overflowing schedule, sleep deprivation, or perhaps your own painful experiences from childhood.

Story
Why do moms find themselves settling for a depleted and frustrated existence when motherhood is truly one of the greatest gifts from God? Being a mom is one of the most important-yet-difficult roles a woman will ever fill. Deep in their hearts, many women believe they are failing their families, are emotionally anemic, and are utterly helpless to maintain their peace while raising kids. As a result, hearts and homes are constantly defeated by the "peace pirates" that are allowed to take away the security God paid for His children to have.

God's love, plans, and promises for you are forever unfolding. I get it, Momma. I totally get it. Every day you wake up and try your very best. You love, give, and pour out your life for the ones who call you Momma. But no matter how much you offer, there are still days you feel as though you come up short. You worry, "Am I loving these babies enough? Is this ever going to get easier? Why does it seem like I am the only one who cannot balance it all?" Sometimes we just need hope (and maybe a long, uninterrupted nap).

Yes, she was a strong and effective business leader, the successful daughter of immigrants, and the mother of a toddler, but she was disconnected from her own feelings and had little patience for those of others. All that changed, however, when three of the people most important to her - her husband, father, and mother - died in quick succession.

"A long and happy marriage." It sounds like the end of a fairy tale - an illusion that modern times have exposed. And it is, if marriage depends on a constant stream of romantic emotion, or even on copious amounts of time or money. Thank the Lord, none of those are necessary. Two thousand years ago, Paul gave women the key to a successful marriage, and it can be summed up in two words: unconditional respect. It's not popular. It doesn't sound fair. It can be hard to imagine. But it works. Nina Roesner has led countless women through this practical and life-changing journey, and in The Respect Dare she offers you the hope that so many others have found. Shauna Shanks's brave journey through obedience reveals the outcome of when we dare to follow God's ludicrous outline for love as described in 1 Corinthians 13. Wrecked with news of her husband's affair and his request for a divorce, Shauna finds herself urgently faced with a decision. Does she give up and divorce her husband and move on, or does she try to fight for her marriage?

As far as she was concerned, happy endings were the product of the kind of ambition and hard work that had propelled her to the top of her profession.

Story
Rock princess Lacey Sturm wants to share her journey from heartbreak to wholeness with young women. In The Mystery, Sturm helps listeners understand that any loving relationship begins with knowing your own identity in Christ. And yet, so many people have learned to define love through their own dysfunctional family, unhealthy relationships, the romances and wrecked relationships of mainstream pop culture, or, sadly, through pornography. Is it any wonder so many people end up brokenhearted, divorced, abused, abusive, or even suicidal?

Many moms have dreamed of life with children, and yet the reality seems far away from their dreams. Their hearts are committed, but their spirits are sagging. This audiobook is a coffee-talk from one woman who is still “figuring-it-out-in-the-mess” (Sarah Mae) and much-needed counsel from one who is older and wiser (Sally Clarkson).

Heart-Breaking Journey of Challenge and Change
Kathy Collard Miller shares her heart-breaking journey through the shadowy valleys of victory and defeat on the way to lasting personal change. She boldly details her own dark battles with parenting, her marriage, and suicide ideation while sharing the steps she took to find release and sustainable transformation through the power of God’s love. Kathy’s transparency is a strong encouragement to anyone struggling to overcome areas that can derail us from becoming all that we were designed to be. Her relatable story-telling style and Pamela Gregory's excellent narration makes this memoir a fast-paced listen and one I could not stop until finishing the story—but one that stayed with me long after the listen.

Kathy's honest story of her struggle with anger was what I needed as a mom. Her first book was a light in the darkness for me, and this book is an updated version of the honest struggle moms face with anger, and how to move past it! This is a tremendous resource for today's parents!

I couldn't finish it. I was struggling with mom rage but it was really hard listening to how physical she was with her toddler. It was also difficult listening to the heavy in religious bits. I guess I'm just not Christian enough to understand
