About this listen

To Marla Jackson, Nolan Reed was the new boy in school. Different, dangerous, mysterious. What she didn't know was that Nolan could read minds. A fact she must never learn.

To Nolan, his ability was more a curse than gift. A secret he could keep hidden from the world until one of the minds he read turned out to be an Alien, bent on destroying the Earth. Which was more important: Keeping his secret from Marla, or saving the world from invasion and destruction. Some decisions are never easy.

I liked exploring the powers of being able to read thoughts and anticipating actions by reading impulses. I liked the decency of the characters as well as understanding the sociopathic natures of the background characters

characters were authentic and real

Ever want to be able to read minds? This is the book for you. No it won’t teach you how but it will cure you of the desire.
As Humans, we are very good at thinking we want something. Once we have it we realize that there are many problems that we did not think of before.

Narrator felt a bit bland throughout the story. He did a good job reading and I had no issue following like I have had with other books. Not bad narration, but nothing to get excited about.

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
