About this listen

In a world of covert codes, two CIA operatives must infiltrate a New York publishing house, where every word on the page could be a weapon.

Brandon Hale, a seasoned CIA case officer, contemplates walking away from the covert world of espionage behind to embark on a quieter path in publishing. But his plan takes an abrupt turn when a critical source within the Labyrinth terrorist organization is assassinated, leaving behind a cryptic message about a New York publishing house. Rather than submitting his resignation, Brandon finds himself going undercover at Monroe Publishing to stop the next terrorist strike against the US.

Kimber Seidel, a CIA finance officer with secret aspirations of becoming a novelist, enjoys a serendipitous encounter with a handsome book lover like herself on her way home from London. Though she cannot reveal her true employment to her new friend, Brandon Hale, she can’t deny the instant spark that ignites between them. When Kimber’s manuscript is unexpectedly shopped to Monroe Publishing as a pawn in the CIA’s counterterrorism plot, Kimber must navigate the intersection of her literary dreams and her covert life as well as her deepening connection with Brandon.

Though each decoded message is leading Brandon and Kimber closer to the truth, it is also leading them into the line of fire, where the stakes are higher than anyone ever imagined.

Another Excellent Read!

Traci is always successful when it comes to creating characters that have depth to their individual personalities and in putting them into a believable storyline. Novel Threat was captivating from the very first page and held my attention all the way to the last page. Traci introduces the reader to the publishing world and the challenges an up and coming author might face when trying to get their manuscript sold for publication. Brandon and Kimber are likeable and I hope to see them in future novels.

Another Great Suspense

Brandon and Kimber,

What an adventure you two went on in Novel Threat! Exactly what I expect from a Traci Hunter Abramson novel, but still I’m always surprised at how she keeps me guessing until the end. Full of suspense from page one, I loved it all!

Kimber, your character was so fun. I related to your reserved side, but loved how you weren’t afraid to step up and protect when it mattered. I thought the way you are accomplishing your dreams, while not quite what you planned, was great. I think that’s life. Not quite what we plan, but somehow it works out. To top it all off, you’re juggling life as a CIA operative, being a sister, falling in love, and saving the world! You’re amazing.

I loved how you handled everything too, Brandon. You continually show up at work and in life, even though you lost your asset and life got thrown off course. It’s no wonder that you and Kimber are such a great team as you each adapt with all that comes your way. I think my favorite part about you is how you care for Kimber though. The moment you two meet, you are always supporting and encouraging her. To fall in love in between was the perfect addition to this fast paced suspense.

I have to mention how awesome it was to get a glimpse at Traci’s worlds of being a former CIA agent and a fantastic author. Seeing the two worlds blend together was so fun. I can’t wait to see where she takes you two in this series!

Sincerely,
A Very Happy Reader

P.S. I loved the narration! The narrator did a great job. Definitely one I'd listen to again.

I could NOT FINISH THIS BOOK

THIS BOOK SHOULD HAVE BEEN LISTED AS A ROMANCE!!! Does Not even come close to a THRILLER...This is the 1st review I've ever written at Audible but I did not want someone else to buy it thinking it is a thriller as it is NOT,
