Romantic suspense?

This was half story and half explaining the story. There was some suspense. The premise was exciting but… no one is safe until we get Medina. Duh, duh, duh, Medina is dead. No story to it. Just the mention. We need to save the farmers… we saved the farmers. Yay. Once the conflict is resolved there are still two hours left. A little boring, less than tantalizing, romance. I couldn’t bother with the rest of the series even though it was free.
My main issue with the reader was that she frequently ended sentences before they ended and then hurriedly tacked on the ends. Also, maybe it’s just me but, I found her to be annoyingly breathy all the time.

Did not enjoy this one.

Title does not reflect the story at all. The story lacked punch and depth. Started well, but dragged on and on. Sorry, a no no from me.

Not my favorite

This could have been a good book. The story line was decent but the author wrote it like it was for 10 year olds (except for the one R rated scene). She felt the need to explain EVERYTHING in detail to the reader. When a book is well written that is not necessary. It also was sappy when the characters began to have feelings for each other, no one talks like that. The characters needed to be more gritty and realistic. I had to force myself to finish the book.

Not great!

I struggled with this listen. The narration was terrible, the plot predictable and the lead characters so wrapped up in their respective flaws there is little other substance to the story. I did manage to listen through to the end and was left wondering why I’d bothered.

Very mediocre

Struggled to finish it. Skipped to the last chapter. Sooo repetitive. Terrible editing and awful English usage. Poor narrator did her best.
