Decent for Shelf Prep

As above, this was very useful to me for shelf prep - I listened to this while commuting, cleaning my house, mowing my yard and working out. "When am I ever gonna study with the long hours of third year AND all this adulting?," I thought. Yay for multitasking! --But don't forget to do your practice questions. Those are the most important.

On the narrator... not sure why she can't pronounce words any medical student should know. It says she's a doctor. But even though it's irritating, it doesn't detract from the content. ::shrug::

FULL of errors

Stared off well but it started going down hill after the first few errors I heard. I offered some grace, but then the errata just keep coming, over and over again. I’m an M3 on my OB/GYN rotation and was really excited about listening to on audio, but this won’t prepare you appropriately for your shelf exam. I had to stop listening to it due to all of the errors I was hearing.

Also, the narrator doesn’t know how to pronounce A LOT of medical (and non-medical!) words, which is never helpful for us med students, esp. when we are presenting on rounds and throw out the wrong pronunciation.

I’d recommend using osmosis or some other resource for laid back, low key review. Don’t use this.

many inaccuracies

I am an ob provider and bought this book as a refresher. There are so many inaccuracies that I can't recommend this book to a student.
