Publisher's summary

I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door there was going to be trouble. Lots of it. And trouble's the last thing I need, since I'm not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet 13 billion light-years away. Plus, if there's one thing I know, it's that humans can't be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. Cuz they are. But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can't stop myself from wanting her - or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I'm the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one girl might mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy - the Arum - and I need to stay on my game. Falling for Katy - a human - won't just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that's one thing I'll never let happen.

always love

Except for mispronouncing Daemon's name I loved it. He made it easy to overlook it.

I will always love this series. the narrator did well. however. I will never understand the cover model for this book. the dude looks like a 40 year old trucker and NOT how Deamon looks...

Repetitive

So much of this book was complete repetition of the first book. I didn’t feel like I gained much incite by reading 1.5. Not enough new material to warrant an extra book.

BOOK ONE

Great 👍 sci fi story. Aliens 👽 living here on earth 🌍... families and groups living together...oxymoron the group try to stay away from humans but the so called kids go to school. The head of the Lux (aliens) falls for the human girl next door... very convenient. The bad aliens are called Arum....they fight to the death...and of Course the DOD and government are in involved. This first book 📖 written to set the stage. For more lies and deception you don’t know who to trust. The narrator did a great job.....have fun with this story...and it is clean as far as language. Is concerned 🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼

Daemon is awesome.

This is the first book, Obsidian, as told from Daemon’s POV. As I love those types of books, I totally enjoyed this one. If you don't like these, don't purchase this.

I Love this series

I am not quite sure how many times I have read this series over and over. Between the paperbacks and audio books, I am sure I am over at least 5 times! I never get tired of this world!
