Troy
To inherit the family fortune, I must marry a woman. But first, I get one night of passion with a man. I just wish I could share it with someone who would treat me more like a lover than a customer. After all, it’s my first time. My only time.
Park
Alesto Markin sics his werewolf lackey on anyone who can’t pay him back. One bite, and my life as I know it will be over. My only hope of paying off my staggering debt is by selling something I never planned to sell. I just didn't expect the man who hired me to be young. Or sweet. I certainly didn’t expect to fall in love with him.
Of Paper and Wood is a sweet love story of two men who share many firsts together in the most unexpected of places. In a world of wands and werewolves, where their fate is either rags or riches, being together could cost them everything. While Amy Bellows normally writes books set in the omegaverse, Of Paper and Wood is not. You can still expect magic, humor, and a big HEA.

I liked this book for the most part. Its very sweet and there isn't a lot of angst between the MCs which I love. If I wasn't me I'd probably like it more, but I have a lot of money insecurity so stories like this just make me totally anxious 😫, I know it's a me thing, but it likely biased my enjoyment.
My main complaint is that I felt like this book is part of a larger world/series. There was a lot of interesting side characters and some of them even get POV chapters. I wanted to know if they change the world, who the werewolf bad guy alluded to was, did Troy get his inheritance, what did the wand families think of open source wands? I found those loose threads more interesting than the contest concern about money.
That said it's still very cute and sweet and totally worth a listen. The narrator was excellent!

A very sweet er*tic romance. Both MCs are virg*ns, one works in a brothel, the other is a customer, instalove ensues. Very light on the magic/fantasy elements.
There's a ton of firsts in this, and some cute k*nk exploration. Found it fun that neither of them knew what to do with getting tied up and just stared at each other like 'is it sexy yet?'
Also a fun docking scene!
It is strange reading a Bellows story that isn't omegaverse though.
So sweet!

I listend to the audio version of Of Paper and Wood and fell in love with the narrator, Tom North. I really enjoyed his performance! I'll definitely be looking for more of his books.
