Publisher's summary

Four women. Four great loves. One great partnership.

It’s been years since Ivy Morgan, Harper Harlow, Maddie Graves, and Rowan Gray married the loves of their lives and decided to settle down. Since that time, they’ve joined together to form a fearsome magical quartet. The plan was to stand with one another. Now that plan is being put to the test.

While out morel hunting with her brother, daughter, and nephews, Ivy stumbles across a body, a ritual dagger causing her to fear they’re dealing with something more dangerous than a normal human. Right away, she calls for reinforcements from her magical friends…and they come running.

Ivy’s magic has grown, and she’s much stronger than she used to be. That doesn’t mean she’s ready for what’s coming, especially when it becomes apparent that her daughter might be following in her mother’s footsteps, and being drawn into a dangerous world she doesn’t understand.

A local real estate developer is dead, his wife is missing, and there’s a random ghost hanging around stirring up trouble. Ivy has her hands full, and things are about to get worse.

Magic is might, and this particular foursome is ready. What if they’re not strong enough to fight off a new threat, however? What will it mean for them as a group?

They’re about to find out, and the answer might be more than they can bear.

I cannot with this narrator

The storyline was fun to, but I ended up having to buy the actual physical book because the narrator was so terrible. I couldn’t even listen. The voices were fine, but when she did any of the exposition, it was atrocious.

Old characters new stories

I was sad at first to see that several series were over. But then there’s this new series it does a great job of bringing them all together and creating new storylines. Looking forward to more

Love the book and the narrator

The story is great and I love old friends. I have listened 3 times to the three books in the series. Very comforting. Angel Clark does a good as usual as narrator.

💞

i love that all four of these leading ladies are such close friends and that they’ve stayed together, helping each other out over the years. i’m So glad their stories didn’t end, but are woven together now! and all of their magical kids!
this all promises to be great fun, with mayhem a *bounding storm* that keeps them all together (winkwink)

the characters

I loved how lily included the kids in with the other characters and made it flow so gracefully together she never missed a beat.

too much whines

There was WAY too much whining voices. Micheal was a gpa but sounds like a 2 yr old. all the whining voices was just too much for me and I work with 2yr olds.

All over the place

Tough to get past the constant barrage of unrealistic bratty kids stuff and really dumb parent reactions.

Was Disappointed

The story soon opens with finding a dead body and then takes off with a spoiled uncontrolled little girl and the family dynamics of how this happened and is allowed by her parents. The whining and yelling of this little girl portrayed by the narrator was worse than listening to someone scratching their nails on a blackboard. It was hard and very distracting to get past this. I did listen to the whole book. It was not one of the authors best. Felt it would have been better if the author put more weight finding evidence on who was killed and less about a spoiled little girl.

Worst reader ever

I hope I can return this. Had to stop after 10 minutes she was so very bad. Sounded like a kid with no idea of where the punctuation or inflections should go. Like nails on a chalkboard

Couldn't listen to this book

The narrator is terrible. I couldn't get past the third chapter. The story was ok.
