About this listen

per·spec·tive (noun): One's point of view determined by beliefs, environments, and experience. Everyone has one...but is it right? Should everyone trust their own perception? After all, it is how you see things....

Kennedi Westbrook has beaten all odds. Statistically, she was destined to be a failure. However, she proved statistics wrong by becoming a sought-after psychiatrist and owner of Healthy Minds, a counseling and psychiatric practice in downtown Atlanta. To many, she is the personification of a perfect woman, only because no one knows of her greatest affliction...her mental illness.

Mitchell, Kennedi’s husband, is wealthy, business savvy, well-groomed, and confident. However, he also has major issues. Although he could never pay for a better family and lifestyle, perception has clouded his judgment and forced him to see if he still has it. Far removed from the dating game, Mitchell makes an amateur decision to flirt with danger, risking his most valued possession...his family. Young, beautiful, and sexy, Sydney was unemployed, insecure, and nearly homeless before she met the father of her unborn twins. Now her only struggles are learning to adjust to her new surroundings and figuring out how to rekindle the extinguished flame between them.

Determined to prevent life as a single mother, she will do anything to live life on her terms. The three each have close friends who all have different perspectives, secrets, and influences of their own, which makes all situations more difficult. On the Inside Looking Out is a whirlwind of blackouts, nightmares, abuse, jealousy, broken spirits, secrets, and lies that won’t stop until perceptions and perspectives are tested.

This book is just too much! I swear I could not stop listening! Mitch ain’t SH*T!!!! OMG! Way to ruin a relationship…. Heck relationships! What a tangled web we weave. And Tia with her Ol’ hating azz! I wouldn’t even know what to do. Poor Kennedy. She got way too much going on. This book was so good. The narrator was the truth!

The Have and the Have Nots

This book will have you on the edge the entire time. How Mitch described how he met Sidney was hilarious and sad at the same time. It reflects how some women think a man negatively see them. I’m sure if Sidney had the means should would do better! Overall I love this book and now starting on Book 2!

Ooooweeee!! The drama!!

From start to finish On the Inside Looking Out keeps you totally pulled in and wanting more. Touching on real life issues from infidelity, to mental illness l, loyalty and friendship the author brought it all to the forefront making you feel like you are sitting on the outside while looking in. While listening I was able to feel the pain, anger, fear and wanting of the characters. Truly a great listen…Oooooweee the drama!!!

Tough listening…

To this story for more reasons than one. First, the narrator did a terrible man’s voice. So so bad. Secondly, the characters were beyond juvenile…poor decisions galore. I finally got through it and am curious about how it ends so I’m about to start the next book with hopes that it’s better than this one. Same narrator so eh.
