About this listen

A dangerous dance of passion and power unfolds when two wounded souls collide in this sizzling unconventional romance by USA Today bestselling author K.C. Mills.

Nari Collette finds herself on the brink of homelessness after a crushing betrayal. Desperate for stability, she reluctantly agrees to an unconventional proposal from the attractive and enigmatic Kincaid Akel.

Determined to reclaim his seat as heir of a dangerous criminal enterprise, Kincaid needs a wife to solidify his position, but he never expected his carefully selected bride to ignite such fierce desire. As Nari awakens feelings he long thought dead, Kincaid struggles to maintain control.

Their entangled marriage of convenience quickly becomes a battleground of wills as Nari fights to protect her heart, even as she's irresistibly drawn to her dangerous new husband.

I don’t know why it was hard for Nari to ask her husband about what the women sent her on social media. Why only take the word of a woman and not hear her husband side especially knowing she wasn’t the only woman engaged to Kincaid.

Nari is a little insecure.

Who is Nari’s Daddy? I was not expecting that ending! I was hanging on to the edge of my seat and left with too many unanswered questions. Who killed Killian’s father? What’s up with Angel and her husband? What was the deal that was made? Now I have to wait until October OMG! 😱 I feel so cheated.

I Wasn’t Expecting The Ending!

K. C. Mills is an amazing writer the character development the storyline the plots the twists were fantastic.... Mr. Andrews's voice and performance was swoon worthy, Ms. Laurel may not have been the best voice for the fmc, howevershe didn'ttake anything away from this outstanding story. My hope is that when the kindle book drops in October the audio version will also be available because babaaaaaaaay what a cliffhanger

It was a great book, but why continually make the wife feel as though her husband is cheating? PLEASE change that narrative in book 2!

Loved the book, not the ending!

An oft used, but still interesting plot about a marriage of convenience turning into something more. There were several parallels to a series of books I recently read, but I listened anyway.

The narrating left much to be desired. The narration was dry for 24 and 31 year old characters. Their youth seemed to be missing from the narrating. It was also very slow.

I would've appreciated more character development and a cliffhanger that at least named the character introduced in the final chapter, though I suspect I know who it is.
