Ten years ago, teenagers Shauna and Eli Eaton disappeared. They were never found. That’s about to change.
On her way home from Hemlock Cove, Stormy Morgan finds two teenagers in the middle of the road. They can’t possibly be the same teenagers, though. Can they? Turns out they are, but they haven’t aged a day.
Nobody understands how the teenagers are back. The teenagers don’t know where they’ve been. To them, no time has passed. The last thing they remember is that they were supposed to have summer visitation with their father. What happened after that, though?
Stormy is on the hunt for answers. She wants to help two traumatized children. First, she has to find their parents…and what a story they have to tell. It was one they didn’t think anybody would believe. Now, there’s no choice.
Shadow Hills is the sort of place where magic comes alive. Sometimes the magic isn’t of the nice variety.
Stormy is determined to solve an old case. What if that means a whole new pile of problems, however?
Things are about to get out of control in Shadow Hills. Will anybody survive to see the other side?

The previous books were better written, this felt forced as if Amanda M Lee had a deadline and met it but didn't flesh out the story or remember things she'd already written in the other books.
For example, here she says that Stormy is overwhelmed with debt and that Hunter offers to pay for them and she says no. Stormy has already stated this fact and the BS that she feels she made the mess and she has to clean it up her is so stupid, Hunter is offering and Stormy rather never get out of her ditch because the interest rates are killing her payments. She whines but is a stubborn mule and rather suffer than accept help.
The story of the kids that she finds in the middle of the road and they end up being Gemini and she so easily defends them that's it is a very unsatisfying ending.
forced boring writing
