Publisher's summary

Once Lost is book number 10 in the best-selling Riley Paige mystery series, which begins with the number-one best seller Once Gone (book number one).

Still reeling from her former partner Lucy’s death and from her partner Bill’s PTSD, FBI Special Agent Riley Paige does her best to try to keep herself stable and to patch together her family life. She has to decide what to about April’s boyfriend, recovering from his abusive father, and about Blaine, who is ready for their relationship to move ahead.

But before she can work it out, Riley is summoned for a new case. In an idyllic suburban town in the Midwest, teenage girls are going missing - and a body has already turned up. The police are stumped, and Riley is called in to catch the killer before another girl goes missing.

Making things worse is that Riley is assigned a partner she does not want - her nemesis, Special Agent Roston - who had been interrogating her in Shane’s case.

Even worse: Shane is on the loose, he wants revenge - and he has Riley’s family in his sights.

A dark psychological thriller with heart-pounding suspense, Once Lost is book number 10 in a riveting series - with a beloved character - that will leave you listening late into the night.

Book number 11 in the Riley Paige series will be available soon.

Couldn't put it down

The story was so exciting & the narrator was perfect in taking me on this great journey by Blake Pierce.

Weird Narration

When I first started this series I found it weird that they had someone narrating with an English accent even though the story was taking place here in the US. I really didn’t care for that, however I liked the storyline enough to keep listening. This time it’s someone different. She also reads with an English accent but changes to American when reading out dialogue. The constant back and forth with that was a bit annoying. The story was good. I know you can’t always be happy with every character in the books we read, but Riley can sometimes be hard to empathize with. Her daughter in the first few books was a typical annoying teenager, but you would think after everything she had been through in the first couple books she’d have a little bit more sense. Thankfully she’s getting better as the books have progressed, at least so far. 😂

Riley Paige Series

I’ve been listening to all the books in order, so naturally this was the next book for me. I really like all the books so far in the series. However, this narrator made it very difficult to listen too. It was horrible. The chapter breaks were very obvious, which I’ve never experienced in all the books before. I only hope the next book doesn’t use this same narrator. Go back to the one in all the other previous books. Please!!!!

worst narrator

This is the worst narrator I have ever heard. She calls the BAU (bow), tries to change her voice for the characters, has no idea how to pronounce American cities, words, etc. She speaks so fast at times it is hard to understand.

I don’t understand.....

I love this series. The only thing that’s ever been wrong with these audio versions is that the narrator is British and mispronounced words. So you change the narrator (yay) but you choose someone who is also British who doesn’t pronounce things like that are pronounced in the US, where the story is set. Why? Oh, and if we can only change one thing please say B-A-U. The letters, not the word “bow”. These narrators would be awesome for a book series set in Britain.

Narrator was not good.

Love Blake books but not the narrator. BAU was pronounced wrong the whole book.

I could hardly finish

I enjoyed the story but the overwhelming amount of mouth sounds and swallowing is making this audio book almost unbearable. I'm afraid to listen to the others. If the narrator is the same for the rest this may be my ending with Riley Paige.

Narrator change

The British narrator does a good job on various voices. However, there are uneven pauses between chapters, some mild background noise like a static in the background and she mispronounces the BAU as “bow” as in bow your head. This is so distracting to the story. I miss the prior narrator who did the first nine books.
