About this listen

From the USA Today best-selling author of Sunshine Beach, a story of four women trying to rebuild more than their lives.

Before you can fix it up, you might have to tear it down....

Embroiled in a battle to regain control of their renovation turned reality TV show, Do Over, Maddie, Avery, Nikki, and Kyra find themselves holding tight to the frayed ends of their friendship and relationships.

Maddie must face the realities of dating a rock star once again topping the charts and deal with her hapless ex-husband while Avery is caught up in family drama even as she attempts to transform a tiny cottage into a home for the newly impoverished heiress who helped bankroll their last renovation. Put on bedrest, a hugely pregnant Nikki can't quite believe love can last or trust in her own maternal instinct. And Kyra, who has secretly put Bella Flora at risk in an attempt to salvage Do Over, must decide whether to accept a desperately needed bailout from her son's famous father that comes with far too many strings attached....

But friendship is made for times like these, to keep each other - and their dreams - from crumbling.

Please don't end Beach Road Series

Would you listen to One Good Thing again? Why?

I've read the entire Ten Beach Road Series. I've come to know the characters and I really like the story line.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I think I like Madeline Singer the best, as she seems to hold all the other characters together. it would be interesting to see a story with just Maddy and Will or Nikki and Joe. I could really see a spin off there.

Which character – as performed by Amy Rubinate – was your favorite?

I like all of them.Amy Rubinate does a really good job discriminating between characters.

If you could take any character from One Good Thing out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Madeline Singer

Any additional comments?

This is a really good series. I enjoy the story line. I can relate to all the area as I live here.

Love this story.

I am so happy to discover Wendy Wax and her Beach series. This series reminds me of my beloved Virgin River series ... the writing is excellent as is the narration (Amy Rubinate) ... now on the book #6. Thank you Wendy!!

I loved this series

I live where these novels are set and I love the characters. Florida is filled with quirky places and inhabitants. These characters are deep and quirky. Thrown together by the embezzlement of all their money by one of the characters brother the four women forge bonds of friendship and care. They work, live and struggle together as they become self reliant. The evolution of the characters make the series A MUST READ. They evolve and change just as life changes us. I can’t wait for the next installment. Every book builds the story and the character growth. You share their trials, their success and their failures. At the end of the series ending with this book, you are left craving the next book and the next chapter in the characters lives. I never write reviews but I seldom feel about characters as I do about all These characters. Read the books in order and you really see them develop.
