A Small Town Romance

She’s a high-end upgrade. He’s a standard offering. Can they put aside their lifelong hurts for love, or will they be destined for the archives?

Never-married, retired librarian Elsa Buchanan isn’t known for subtlety; she’s known for getting her way. Aging and in questionable health, she’s worried her time for falling in love is overdue. Always up for a challenge, she sets her eyes on irascible Trenton Van der Veen, who is like a first-edition hardback book—quality through and through but showing a lifetime of wear and tear. Can she crack through his binding to enter his heart, or will she have to return him for a newer edition?

Real estate mogul Trenton Van der Veen isn’t looking for love. After a long loveless marriage, he’s happy to sit back and see what pops up. In Aspen Cove to sell several languishing properties, he’s there for big bucks and quick sales, but what he finds is Elsa Buchanan, who’s offered him a deal he can’t refuse.

Aspen Cove, where, sometimes, the end is just the beginning....

Another wonderful story in the series

I have come to love listening to this series about the town Aspen Cove and the folks that come to visit and end up falling in love and staying.
This time it’s real estate mogul Trenton Van de Veen who is the visitor and the person he falls in love with, none other than the recently retired librarian, Elsa Buchanan. A woman that has given up on true love and is also quite a determined woman when it comes to wanting grand babies. Thus her move to Aspen Cove.
These are two strong characters that have been hurt before and therefore guard their hearts tighter than Fort Knox.
Both two individuals are perfect for each other as well as supportive. Especially when Trenton is keeping Elsa’s secret.
As always, the narrators bring the stories to live, in this case it was Logan McAllister that gave us a wonderful rendition of the various voices.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Can they get past life’s hurdles and make a go of it?

Another winner in The Aspen Cove series that I loved.
This story introduces us to two fifty plus single people trying to navigate and improve on what life has already dealt them.
Trenton Van der Veen had plenty of work to do to show the town of Aspen Cove that he was no longer anything like his families reputation.
Coming to town to improve his relationship with his son, Trenton meets Elsa Buchanan.
Quickly seeing the good in each other, their mutual attraction and the same style of humour they hit it off immediately.
Will the unexpected news one of them receives derail their blossoming relationship?
Or could it possibly make them stronger?
A wonderful, at times sensitive story that I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of.
I also love the easy listening voice of the narrator who helps bring to life all of Kelly’s Aspen Cove novels.

Beautiful and Powerful!

One Hundred Reflections is beautiful and powerful! Aspen Cove’s long-time disliked real estate mogul Trenton and pokes-holes-in-her-kids-condoms forever-single mom Elsa, both stubborn, proud, intelligent, independent people, find true love at last—and the journey is by turns heart-wrenching, funny, heart-warming, dramatic, emotional, and so sweet! This story has all the feels in spades, and I love that author Kelly Collins is bringing all the “bad” people around slowly but surely. Narrator Logan McAllister does a lovely job of bringing Aspen Cove’s residents to life in this 19th installment in the series.

Love the story

I enjoyed listening to Elsa's story and how her children reacted to different issues. Logan McAllister does a great job with the audio. Spoiler - glad to know there is another pink envelope that is going to show up in Aspen Cove. I have listened to all of the books in this series that are available in audio format more than once. They are all stand-alone stories but you do get more out of them if you have read others in the series.

Another Wonderful Story from Aspen Cove

Finally, another tale from Kelly Collin’s Aspen Cove series. I’ve been waiting for Trenton’s story since he redeemed himself in an earlier book (One Hundred Whispers). I have to tell you that I had no problems liking Trenton after disliking him before as Ms. Collins does an amazing job of letting the readers understand why he acted the way he did and how he is changing now. I was a bit worried but shouldn’t have been. This story is about Trenton and Elsa finding love and navigating a relationship while undergoing trials. I didn’t appreciate the way Elsa handled her diagnosis, but I did love that Trenton stood by her and helped her understand how she should let her kids take care of HER for a change. I hope you give this story a chance as it’s funny, emotional, uplifting, and just generally a great read / listen. Plus, I’m all for encouraging writers to have more romances for older couples!
