About this listen
I've written what I call an autobiographical, historical book. As you listen, you'll follow my rise from just a 1970s kid selling drugs out of my mom's house into a life of crime lasting more than 22 years and the road that took me from 3 finger ozs and 1/2 grams of Blow to moving tons of weed and thousands of pounds of Cocaine. And from the fast life of Cigarette boats, racing cars, and Learjets—to just hanging on for dear life. You'll listen about the history of how the drug wars started and how, along with some of the biggest smugglers in the world, I was more than willing to help.
Then, the darker side, when facing a minimum mandatory sentence of 25 years in prison, I'm recruited by the DEA and confronted with the choice to switch teams. That's the autobiographical part; the historical part is my dive into the lives and stories of these times and how they were inexplicably interwoven into my life. South Florida had 'em all, from Movie stars to murderers, all true stories that, in some instances, are stranger than fiction!
All this created by a government that just had to know better. They had to know that, like the unenforceable prohibition of alcohol just five decades earlier, the now huge demand for pot would create a similar outcome. That new “Al Capones” would arise and bring with them similar blood in the streets. They had to know… Again, we didn't invent weed and cocaine…we just filled a need! And now, as Paul Harvey would say, "is the rest of the story"...

Story
John Gotti was without a doubt the flashiest and most feared Mafioso in American history. He became the boss of the Gambino Crime Family in spectacular fashion—with the brazen and very public murder of Paul Castellano in front of Sparks Steakhouse in midtown Manhattan in 1985. Not one to stay below law enforcement’s radar, Gotti instead became the first celebrity crime boss. His penchant for eye-catching apparel earned him the nickname “The Dapper Don;” his ability to beat criminal charges led to another: “The Teflon Don.”

Story
Anybody can get lucky. Nobody controls the odds like Billy Walters. Widely regarded as “the Michael Jordan of sports betting,” Walters is a living legend in Las Vegas and among sports bettors worldwide. With an unmatched winning streak of thirty-six consecutive years, Walters has become fabulously wealthy by placing hundreds of millions of dollars a year in gross wagers, including one Super Bowl bet of $3.5 million alone. Competitors desperate to crack his betting techniques have tried hacking his phones, cloning his beepers, rifling through his trash, and bribing his employees.

-Phenomenal narration and story.
-non-linear writing structure.
It’s not easy to bare your soul. But essentially, that’s the experience each reader will get with this book.
In one step over the line, the author delves into the deepest, darkest parts of his life and addresses some cumbersome parts of history through his eyes, racism in New Orleans and the murder of Adam Walsh in Hollywood, FL) All while making the reader wonder… does this marijuana mercenary prevail? Or is this a story as old as time?
To all my fellow book lovers, I highly recommend taking this ride.
There’s no other way to say it. This author takes the reader for a ride. Buckle up!
