About this listen

The Lambspun Knitters are eagerly awaiting a bundle of joy but find themselves heaped with trouble instead!

Kelly Flynn and her boyfriend, Steve, are expecting and couldn't be happier. Kelly's got the knitting group working away on blankets and booties, and the story of Giselle Callahan is a popular topic of conversation. Giselle is the young wife of Henry Callahan, a Fort Connor banking scion who traded in his previous wife of 40 years for a newer model. When Giselle is found dead on the greens at the golf club, Kelly and her Lambspun crew worry that a vicious killer is in their midst. They must work fast to bring an unhinged murderer to justice on the back nine before Kelly's very special delivery.

Enjoyable series

I love murder mysteries of all kinds, but I’m not always in the mood for the more graphic ones. The setting of this series is comforting and cozy. I await the release of the last book on Audible. Also, this narrator was an improvement over the other two. She felt more suited to the characters.

Cheesy

I listened only because I knit and looked forward to a story revolving around a yarn shop I know of.
Story itself wasn’t engaging at all. So predictable and cheesy.

Reader

Having read all the previous books in this series, I didn’t think the reader did the characters justice.

Pointless

I enjoyed this series but this book just rambles on. I did not enjoy the in depth history lessons or how to make a grilled cheese in detail. It really felt long and rambling and missing the actual plot. I also was not a huge fan of the constant body image conversation. This book felt more like a lecture from a “well meaning” friend then it did a murder mystery. Did not finish

Birth is b ot a mystery@

As per all the rest of Maggie Seftin I have read this far. I liked the story. Hhowever, it seemed less of a mystery and more about Kelly having her baby. I enjoyed it though and there wasn't enough talk about knitting and fibers to me but that's OK I enjoyed it. it's a passable four stars.

Where’s the mystery? Boring.

This story is boring. Unlike the first three in the series. The mystery here is all about the main character’s pregnancy and coffee preference. Very disappointing. Where are the previous books in this series?

Where’s the plot?

After the at least the twentieth time Kelly answered inquiries into her health as an expectant mother, with ‘I’m fine’, and ‘Baby Jack is playing soccer today”, I just had to give up and returned the book. There are numerous retelling of events in previous books in the series, filling up space I assume. There are some references now and then to a murder, but mostly this is Kelly sitting in the knit shop telling people that she’s fine. I wasn’t that taken with the rest of the series, but this was really poor. I did think this reader was more vivacious than Jane Jacobs.

Where is the mystery?

Wow, was this a disappointment. No plot, happy people saying and doing nothing of consequence. Very disjointed and way below par for the author. Don’t bother.

wish I never bought this book

this is supposed to be a mystery...it's very little mystery, more about Kelly and her pregnancy and her friends. the mystery only comes up about every 30 minutes..if that much.. waste of time
