More complete stories of OSS birth and operations around the world during WW2. I vaguely knew of the links between the OSS and US Army Special Forces, but the connection to the Navy Seals and Air Force PJ’s was a bit of a surprise, though it shouldn’t have been. The courage of those early members of the OSS who worked alone before teams were deployed makes one proud to be an American. Read it if you’re an interested patriot as am I.

Tremendous stories and wonderful narration. Very informative and enjoyable. I have studied the history of WWII all my adult l life yet there were still many new things I learned. A great read for anyone interested in this time period or the history of espionage in general.

Very interesting Subject Matter. I did however find the beginning of the book start slowly and drag. the If you are into WWII history and beyond I highly recommend. The narrator spoke a little fast but overall was very good

I love books read by Christopher Lane. These are amazing stories of courage and sacrifice from a generation I doubt we'll ever see the likes of again.

This tells the story of brave men and women, of diverse political philosophies and nations who fought behind the lines to win the war in Europe. Of interest to me was the revelation that the Allied Theater Commanders in the Pacific wanted nothing to do with the OSS in their theatre of operations.

It is wonderful to hear how so many brave men and women did their best to stop the evil axis powers from overwhelming the free world.

What an incredible story.. I grew up learning my first bits of WWII playing the Medal of Honor game franchise which taught me about the OSS.
patrick O'Donnell does an astounding job of telling us about the heroic missions of the OSS in WWII. Its exciting and nail biting at times. I really loved the narrator too whose name is Christopher Lane. His narration is the best I've ever heard. hd even nailed the accents of French, English, German, & Russian characters very well. He needs to read more history books on Audible!
you will come away from this book with a true appreciation of Bill Donovan 's OSS and all the men and women under him who conducted incredible missions of intelligence gathering, sabotage, espionage, and overall path clearing for the allied forces in WWII! READ THIS BOOK!!

Absolutley Astounding!!
