Enjoyed the story

I do get very tired of the use of foul language. But it was a good performance and I liked the plot.

Not bad overall.

I'm not a huge fan of the Order of the Black Sun series, but getting 2 for the price of 1, it was definitely worth it.

Fun premise, but story just never develops well.

Fun premise, but award character interactions/development. Storyline seems to gap later when working to climax.

the way the narrator kept saying M16 instead of MI6 made me nuts, otherwise he was great.

The narrator was awful

The narrator has a great voice and can do characters well, but his mispronunciation of words like hearth, impotent and chasm made it impossible to stay in the story. There were many more examples of mispronunciations….I can’t believe this got through quality checks

profanity

There was far more profanity than in past novels. We enjoyed them much more with less profanity.

Maybe the worst ever

I rarely write reviews, but I felt morally compelled to warn others that this drivel is to be avoided. I like science fiction and the supernatural, but this is far beyond any stretch of belief. A handful of civilians manage to man an abandoned WW II German submarine and sink a modern destroyer!! A single scientist develops a vaccine for a new fatal virus in hours using a 70 year old abandoned lab!! Come on. Over and over the impossible is used without explanation to rescue the characters. It is almost laughable. Makes Marvel comics look realistic. The many mispronunciations be the narrator add to the cheapness of this production. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Good story but the obsession with smoking was too much

30% of the book is about the obsession with smoking cigarettes, which seemed completely Unnecessary to the story.
