Any additional comments?
This was a great listen. It had suspense, romance, man vs man conflict.. all in a treasure hunt!I really liked all of the different personalities evident in this book. Each character was 3-D and had a past that shaped his future. I could identify and believe in the characters. The descriptions of the scenes and drama were vivid as if I were there. I felt I could smell and feel the pit.
The authors explored the effects of greed and human nature wonderfully. The contrasts between the main character before, during and after were very well done.
The narrator took the great story and writing, and brought it to life. I was very impressed.
So many times, we assume that the current intelligence is far superior to those that came before us. We forget that we only build on the true genius of those that came before.
I also liked the way the authors didn't leave us wondering in a "fake" ending .... "is the treasure there still?" There was a conclusion - not a setup for a sequel!
I would highly recommend this novel.
