This program is read by the author and Mark Ruffalo, an award-winning actor, director, producer, and social activist.
When Bernie Sanders began his race for the presidency, it was considered by the political establishment and the media to be a "fringe" campaign, something not to be taken seriously. After all, he was just an independent senator from a small state with little name recognition. His campaign had no money, no political organization, and it was taking on the entire Democratic Party establishment.
By the time Sanders' campaign came to a close, however, it was clear that the pundits had gotten it wrong. Bernie had run one of the most consequential campaigns in the modern history of the country. He had received more than 13 million votes in primaries and caucuses throughout the country and won 22 states, and more than 1.4 million people had attended his public meetings. Most important, he showed that the American people were prepared to take on the greed and irresponsibility of corporate America and the 1 percent.
In Our Revolution, Sanders shares his personal experiences from the campaign trail, recounting the details of his historic primary fight and the people who made it possible. And for the millions looking to continue the political revolution, he outlines a progressive economic, environmental, racial, and social justice agenda that will create jobs, raise wages, protect the environment, and provide health care for all - and ultimately transform our country and our world for the better. For him, the political revolution has just started. The campaign may be over, but the struggle goes on.
Bernie Sanders ran as a Democratic candidate for president of the United States in 2015 and 2016. He served as mayor of Burlington, Vermont's largest city, for eight years before becoming the sole congressperson for the state in 1990. He was elected to the Senate in 2006 and is now the longest-serving Independent in the history of the Congress. He lives in Burlington, Vermont, with his wife, Jane, and has four children and seven grandchildren.
Mark Ruffalo is an award-winning actor, director, producer, and social activist. Known for high-profile roles in movies such as The Kids Are All Right (2010), The Normal Heart (2014), Foxcatcher (2015), and Spotlight (2015) as well as blockbusters like The Avengers (2012) and The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), he made his directorial debut with Sympathy for Delicious at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010. He was an ardent supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders' bid for the Democratic nomination for president.

Any additional comments?
Full of well researched and informative discussion of various issues this country suffers. However, it is at the same time depressing to realize how big corporations are really the ones in control. And there only agenda is high profits; period!
Mike's added snickering in his narration was a bit off-putting.
Eye-opening but depressing

I would recommend this book to anyone, who does not know about the Revolution. If they are late to politics, this book defines both why so many young people became enamored with Bernie Sanders.Who was your favorite character and why?
The youth of our land have risen up and became excited about politics the way it should be. The youth saw they had a chance to change things in our country. What three words best describe Bernie Sanders and Mark Ruffalo ’s performance?
Love Bernie AnywayWas there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
All of us old hippies, thought the chance to change the world had slipped out of our hands. We thought all politics was corrupt, but in Bernie, we could tell he told the truth. And when the young people of our land (America) became excited by Bernie's message, Hope once again rose in our breasts. If You Are Late to the Party…
