Jake Bible
Book 2 in a military sci-fi series set in a monster-filled apocalypse from Amazon bestseller Jake Bible. It's perfect for fans of Nicholas Sansbury Smith's Hell Divers series, T. W. Piperbrook, and the Pacific Rim series.
Federal Marshal Lu Morgan and her ragtag group of survivors and government agents fought hard to stay alive and defeat the massive monsters, but now a second eruption has sent even more deadly creatures flying up into the ash-cloud that covers the land.
The US government, the survivors of the eruption, and a team of scientists must fight a new evil that falls from the sky and turns animals, and people, into grotesque creatures bent on killing every living thing in their path.
It is a race against time, and a race for survival, as all involved struggle to find answers as to where the monsters came from and how to stop them.
If stopping them is even possible.

Good book series but annoying characters

The cussing every 2 seconds is ridiculous

There’s a lot of drama with a lot of unlikable characters.
The characters are very up set.
They all are SOOOO up-set they all loose their cool. A lot!
They're in a disaster,
OKAY.
Unbelievably horrible monsters are invading,
I know.
Yes it’s made the characters very cranky.
OK.
Okay, I get it.
They are REALLY pissed OFF! … ALL THE TIME!
Yes. Understandably so.
However, enough is enough!
Because, ALL they do is argue with each other. Stick out their tongues at each other.
Yell, and scream, and call each other names, and use harsh language, and act like JERKS.
Every single one of them.
They are all a bunch of JERKS.
This causes a strange phenomenon:
You don’t get upset when the monsters kill the JERKS.
A young, good-hearted character gets killed… horribly!
He pleads for help!
He’s in terrible agonizing pain… he cries and he reaches out for help... and… (YAWN.)
I just didn’t care.
He’s been such as JERK I just don’t care about him.
Sorry.
A part of me thought “Good! Now he’ll shut up!”
One less JERK to listen arguing through the whole adventure.
Perhaps it’ll even HELP the story move a little quicker with less arguments!
Oh boy!
The narrator is not helping.
The Narrator reads them all this teeth-clenched hate-filled gusto…
“MONSTERS! ARGH! I’M SO GOSH-DARNED-PISSED AT THIS, THAT I’M PISSED AT YOU!
IN FACT I’M SUPER PISSED AT THE WORLD! WOW! I NEVER KNEW HOW PISSED I WAS!
I HATE EVERYTHING!”
This gets old quick.
It’s a one-note boring type of communication that every character in the book uses.
Dumbest line in “Out of the Sky” so far...
“You could have done something with your life if you stuck it out and not killed all those people.”
YES, it's the dumbest line... SO FAR.
I 'm still working through it.
I 'm wondering what will happen to the monsters.
Out of the patience Just shut up & kill monsters!
