Good storyline overall, so far the story deals more with conflict resolution among this small group of survivors. The story is like a Harlequin Zombie story… but I’m looking forward to the next book.

Saw that coming…

I get that she had dealt with a lot of difficulties at home but usually there comes an arc where said character finds her strength and earns respect. That didn't quite happen. Everyone around her seemed stronger and smarter. Ugh. Her dumb daughter would have made a better main character.

The main character is so very WEAK!!!

I really appreciate Kit's character progression. Maddie is so strong and fierce. The details are so gripping because it all could so easily happen in real life and that's what was capt through the book. I have been stoked to find this short story series.

Strong worldbuilfing

Everything about this series is amazing. It was obvious what was going to happen to one of the main characters*but* the storyline is so interesting and the performance was so great that it's worth sticking around. I've never completed an entire series of books because they tend to get repetitive and mundane. Not so with this series. Can't wait to start the 3rd book!

First Series I've Ever Stuck With

The author falls short explaining little details for events. Kitt and the group are chased down and almost forced to
Join a camp of marauders and a random group popped up at the right place and the right time to help? How did they manage to be at the right place at the right time? Kitt has two brothers that want her? Meanwhile she’s been abused for years and mentally she’s managing to be “ok”?

It falls short with providing the meat and potatoes

I listened to the first book- same trend of tame action and weak characters.
Tamest post apocalyptic story ever. Main female character very tedious with constant simpering apologies. Narrator was good but It doesn’t help that the female narrator stage whispers every thought the silly woman has.
She was just too much. The virus was the side story due to the overwhelming female characters weak thoughts and indecision.
I can’t move any further in this series. I Received this series as part of my audible membership so thankfully didn’t waste a credit .

Constant self recriminations- tedious. No action.
