Where does Overcoming the Fear of Death rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
My wife suggested this audible book because I was in the process of talking with my father about his estate and plans after he passes away. He is a little uptight about the subject so she thought this book might make the conversation easier. So, while this subject matter might be taboo, the author did a fantastic job making this an easy read. He gave many personal examples of real world scenarios that just make the material easier to digest. I found the sections around NDE (near death experiences) especially fascinating and as a result, I ended up reading other stories around the topic. The author also spoke in detail about how his parents death helped shaped the foundation of the book. Great, real stories that Helped me connect with him. I highly recommend this book.
A great find!

The end result is that the author helps you to look at this topic in a way that can help reduce your fears around this often taboo topic of death.
My own advice to others who are in a situation where they are wanting to support a friend or family member who is dying, is to keep your heart open and don't let fear interfere with your experience. Those who took this approach generally came away from the experience transformed by it.
Kelvin's book can help you prepare to have your own transforming experience.

I would recommend this book to anyone really...that's what's so great about it. It's written in such a way that it can be applied for any death or dying situation. No matter what your faith or lack thereof, male or female, or any ethnicity will be able to take away something from this book that will help them with their unique experience with death and dying.
I read the book and listened to it in the car...
