Publisher's summary

An Admiralty summons to England cuts short Thomas Kydd's service in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. While the crew of L'Aurore can look forward to liberty and prize money, a shadow hangs over their captain: the impending court martial of his one-time commander, Commodore Popham, who led a doomed attack on South America.

Following Nelson's death two years earlier, England is in desperate need of heroes, and Kydd's Caribbean exploits are the talk of London. Feted by the king and a grateful country, Kydd is soon on detachment in a new and dangerous sphere of interest: the Dardanelles, connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Black Sea and providing a route to India.

The French have long coveted this route, knowing that it could be the key to toppling the British Empire in India. When they successfully whip up such strong anti-English sentiment that the British ambassador to Constantinople has to flee to L'Aurore, a deadly stand-off ensues.

Meanwhile Kydd's closest friend, Nicholas Renzi, has assumed a new role that he can never make public. Sent under alias on a mission to Constantinople, Renzi must engineer a coup that will turn the tables on the French. But when he's taken prisoner, only Kydd's superb seamanship and sheer bravado can save the day.

As good as it gets.

This is the best development of the Renzi character. Three cheers! Also, this historical situation is one I knew nothing about.

Capt.Kydd on another great adventure

Would you consider the audio edition of Pasha to be better than the print version?

I am not able to read many books, truck driver, but I do listen to many audiobooks,
and I doubt it would be better than an unabridged audio

What was one of the most memorable moments of Pasha?

Near the end when they reclaimed all of their shipmates

What does Christian Rodska bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Again without a doubt Mr Rodska is one of a small group of professional readers who bring life, action and drama to the book, Which is an unbeatable combination
Look forward to listing to him in the near future

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, if time would allow, but even I don't have that much time

Any additional comments?

I have all of this series in my library and look forward to adding the next one The series is a well thought out story line which makes you want more

Another thrilling episode in our heroes’ lives

Again, Julian Stockwin does not disappoint. In this episode, we are company our beloved Captain Kydd to Constantinople and unknown to him, our dear Rennie (now an Earl) is asked to assume the cloak of secrecy in exactly the same place. Terrible danger, historical drama… everything comes together within the enchanted artistry of Christian Rodska.
