Moose is a beautiful and well-written book!
Moose is a beautiful and well-written book about the powerful emotions of love, loss, and healing. Karen's prose flows easily, and she does an excellent job of combining deeply personal stories with tales of Moose’s antics. Moose was a rescue dog, and Karen tells his whole story—the beginning as a frightened pup who needed lots of love and attention to become healthy, friendly, and happy; the years he spent as part of a loving family.
Karen manages to express her love for Moose, what it was like to raise him, and their adventures and relationships with other animals in a very touching way. Her prose and descriptions are clear and imaginative. Her stories will make you laugh and cry. I highly recommend this audio book if you want to learn a little about the experience of raising a dog, or just enjoy a collection of heartwarming stories. It’s difficult to imagine what it must be like to lose a best friend and companion. I can assure you that Karen has done us all an enormous service by sharing her story of loss, healing and growth. We are all better people for having known Moose.
This book is a must read for all dog lovers, who will understand the devotion and love that comes with having a dog in your life.

Very Heartwarming Memoir!
I truly feel the pain of the author because I went through the same thing after I lost my beloved cat. Animal pets of any kind really do become very much a family and losing them is very devastating. I am sure moose is in a very good place right now. Being much loved. He was a beautiful soul. Very heartwarming memoir.

A Truly Unique Story of Companionship
As a lifelong dog lover, I am drawn to powerful stories of their owners and their dogs, appreciating the unique facet of life their relationship demonstrates. However the story of this author's owner and her German Shepherd, Moose, is truly on its own level. It's clear that moose not only had incredible loyalty and compassion as a dog, but to me, a sixth sense not only for his owner, the author, in so many areas of her life. Part of the power of this book comes from the author's processing of her grief in losing Moose, which translates to anyone who has loved, and lost a beloved dog in their life.
For anyone who has ever had a dog that was the center of their life, and in their absence struggles with the hole left behind, I would absolutely recommend you listen to Please Let Me Tell You About My Moose.

Lovely Story Told From the Heart
Whether or not you are a dog lover, you will be touched by this beautiful story. Karen shares her heart and experience in a way that will speak to dog lovers everywhere. The love between a human and a dog is very special, a treasure to those privileged to know it. And the stories are told in such a way that you will feel you are getting to know both Karen and Moose with each chapter, enjoying new friends and their adventures.
Karen’s book is a tribute to her heart dog Moose that shows a glimpse into her loving and compassionate heart.
Most of the book tells of the joy and delightful moments of life with Moose, yet Karen is honest and brave enough to also share the pain and loss and grief that always comes with love and deep relationships, and how healing can begin. I cried and wished for a different outcome to Moose’s story. While I cannot speak from personal experience here, I think that hearing about Moose would be a healing balm to anyone grieving the death of a canine friend (whether shortly afterwards or years later), acknowledging the reality and tragedy of such loss in a way that family and friends may not always understand. Listening to this book will assure dog lovers that they are not alone in the intense emotions of it all.
