My young son and I both enjoy reading Longfellow at night. I read his poetry was meant to be done this way when written. amazing it still just happened to us still in todays world!

Terrible Structure and Narration

There’s no pause or distinction between poems - one simply ends and another one starts right away. Also, the narrator changes from poem to poem, which has a tremendously jarring effect.
