About this listen

When a down-on-her-luck costumer agrees to a fake relationship for quick cash, the last thing she expects is to fall for a celebrity she despises.

Margo Wells hates everything about Hollywood. Especially actors. But she loves her job as a wardrobe supervisor, until a spoiled film legend has her fired for an accident on set that wasn’t even her fault. Margo faces the real possibility of returning home to Minnesota in defeat. That is until a friend suggests a crazy solution: pose as his cousin's fiancée for a family wedding in Hawaii and earn some cold, hard cash.

There’s just one problem. It turns out the cousin in question is none other than Caroline Jacobs, the woman responsible for Margo losing her job. Unfortunately, there’s too much at stake to back out, especially after a desperate Caroline offers to triple Margo’s pay to go through with the charade.

What could go wrong?

How about three of Caroline’s most famous exes showing up at the same exclusive island resort at the same time?

Now Caroline and Margo will have to turn in the performances of their lives to avoid being caught in a lie. But can Margo survive being trapped for two weeks in paradise with so many Hollywood A-listers without choking on her lines? Or worse, falling madly in love with the beguiling blond she’s sworn to hate?

If you enjoy listening to steamy, enemies to lovers, celebrity romance with a lot of heart, this latest collaboration from Miranda MacLeod and TB Markinson is the perfect summer beach listen.

Ok

I felt the narrator’s tone at times was too comedic when it wasn’t called for.

Love this book.

Any book written by TB and Miranda, narrated by Lori, is a great pleasure to listen to. The amount of drama, sex and quiet pages is in the right ratio.

Margot and Cary are a great match.

You don't have to take anyone's advice. Just read it and see if you like it. I'm always a 2nd and 3rd listener, so I will try it again later.

Two Tickets to Paradise

Spice Rating: 3/5 Explicit Open-Door

I listened to this book on Audible and it is read by Lori Prince, whom I love as a narrator.

Margo Wells is a wardrobe supervisor in Hollywood who, to no fault of her own, causes an accident on set which involves the spoiled uppity star of the movie. She is fired as a result. She almost hightails it out of town but her friend Asher convinces her to come with him to Hawaii and do a little acting of her own and pretend to be his cousin's fiancée. Low and behold, Asher's cousin is none other than the uppity actor who got her fired, Caroline Jacobs. They're almost able to pull off the ruse until those pesky feelings of love push their way through. Then to put the cherry on top, they're in Hawaii for Caroline's sister's wedding but the wedding is called off because Caroline's sister's fiancée was caught sleeping with none other than Margo's ex. Whew. This isn't it though. Caroline's mom needs to save her embarrassment and fill the wedding void with..... Caroline and Margo's wedding?? No. This isn't a spoiler. But if you want to find out what happens and witness the hijinx that happens, give this book a read. I definitely recommend it.

I will admit, I have a personal bias towards this book because I love this kind of trope. I love a good fake dating to actual lovers type romantic comedy. A lot of fun and crazy things happen in this book but of course, with some happiness comes some angsty sadness and I am here for it all.
