About this listen

The nanny is hot for her boss, but she's been burned falling for a straight woman in the past.

Julianna Bristol is on the brink of success as her fledgling video game design company goes after the opportunity of a lifetime. But her ex-husband is intent on making her fodder for late-night comedy. When she unexpectedly gains custody of her nine-year-old niece, everything in Julianna's exquisitely planned life changes in the blink of an eye.

Sadie Culpepper is out of work and drowning in debt. She's as unable to commit professionally as she is romantically. A last-minute nanny gig offers a lifeline, but making it through the summer working for the woman the late-night hosts call Permafrost might take everything she's got.

Their mutually beneficial business arrangement is threatened as the magnetic pull between them grows stronger with each passing day. Both women are forced to confront their deepest fears and insecurities. Julianna is drawn to the younger Sadie in ways she never imagined possible. And Sadie, scarred by past heartbreak, struggles to trust again, especially with her heart and financial security on the line.

Will they have the courage to defy convention and seize their chance at happiness? Or will they succumb to the pressures of society, letting go of the one thing that could save them both?
If you enjoy seductive, taboo, age-gap romance with a lot of heart, don't miss the latest collaboration of Miranda MacLeod and TB Markinson.

Not Enough

Not enough love scenes, two out of twenty five. Good characters, interesting story, good reader.

Fluffy and sweet

It’s cute and fluffy… nothing very deep. I don’t feel like Ms Prince is the right choice for the narrator… she performance specifically for the spice doesn’t really add benefit but detracted a little. Over all not she’s good. It’s just her sexy voice that kills it for me

Characters

It is very easy to fall in love with the characters. The book is written well with good character development, plots, twists, anks, love, triumph, and happy endings. The world as it is needs happy endings.

Great Chemistry and Naration

I loved the character development and character dynamics. If anything I just wish the epilogue was a little longer! Also one of the more creative plot points I’ve read recently!

story with very well written and performed

The author crafted a deeply thought-provoking and beautiful story about two individuals coming together under extraordinary circumstances. I highly recommend this book to anyone. As a 57-year-old straight man, I found the storyline to be truly remarkable. The emotions and connections between the characters resonate deeply, evoking strong feelings in the reader.

Cute

These 2 ladies are such wonderful Authors. This story was cute and I really enjoyed it. I will have to say Lori is the one that made this Audiobook for me. I laughed harder than I should have with the tongue Rolling the word Girl.

Loved the story line. Very cute! Well developed characters.

Would recommend to a friend. Little bit different plot than the basic small town love story. Few funny parts in there too!

Another Great Book from These Two

Stars: 4.5 Stars
Format: Audiobook
Narrator: Lori Prince
Series: Stand Alone
Steam Level: Steamy

Like almost all of their books, I really enjoyed this and was perfect for my travel from one side of the country to the other. The only reason I knocked off half a star is that I thought the love scenes were written a little strange and because of that, it pulled me out of the story.

Quick Thoughts:
- Age Gap AND a boss/employee relationship AND single parent trope? Beam it into my brain instantly please
- Love the cover though in the book the blonde (Sadie) has shorter hair
- I will admit, Julianna’s dad royally pissed me off from the jump and his second appearance wasn’t any better. After finishing the book, I still don’t like him
- Sadie’s background believably dictates a lot of her character and actions
- I laughed that they played a Ms. Pac-Man machine because my wife owns a vintage Ms. Pac-Man machine
- I think most would say that Julianna grows as a character but I saw it as she becomes more of her true self and confident in that self
- Sadie was a lot of fun to watch her feel more and more safe perso and not just offering it to others
- The plot point with the Ex I could see coming from a mile away but still enjoyed watching it play out
- No third act break up! Woohoo!
- I do wish the epilogue was a bit further out to see how how their lives meshed
- As always, Lori Prince does a great job and I highly enjoyed her performance

Overall I really enjoyed this and it just reaffirms my practice of buying their books without bothering to read the synopsis.
