Real, flawed, and raw, Dark Recollections is Adrian's own story of how he survived after "That Day". Told through his eyes as he talks to his laptop, affectionately named "Mr. Journal".

With little warning, a solar super flare erupts from the sun. A billion tons of superheated plasma hurtles through space toward Earth. As multiple solar storms strike Earth, transformers explode, the power grid fails, and communication networks collapse. Half the world goes dark, thrusting the planet into utter chaos. Story
As anarchy and civil war took grip across the globe, Britain was quarantined. The press was nationalized, and martial law, curfews, and rationing were implemented. It wasn't enough. An evacuation was planned. The inland towns and cities of the United Kingdom were to be evacuated to defensive enclaves being built around the coast and the Scottish Highlands and in the Irish Republic. For George Tull and the other residents of the Waverly-Price Retirement Home, walking to the coast is not an option.

Greed, terrorism, and simple bad luck conspire to bring mankind to its knees as a viral infection spreads out of control, reducing those infected to undead horrors that feed upon the rest. It's a time of misery and death for most, however there are some who are lucky, some who are ruthless, and some who are just too damned tough to go down without a fight. This is their story.

Publisher's summary
The day of judgement has arrived.
Chaos and devastation reign once more, but this time, they are wielded by a single man with just one goal—power.
To gain it, he will do whatever it takes, no matter the cost.
For the citizens of Redemption there are only two options, submit or die.
The choice is an easy one for most, but some will not get to make it. Some will be struck down even before the first bullets are fired.
This is the end that has been a long time in coming. With fear, sadness and pain in their hearts, Callie, Drake and the others must face it together.
Who’ll win?
They’re about to find out.

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

My name is Cain Sthyldor, a former assassin for the fae. I've met Death in person, I'm cursed by Cthulhu, know a gorgon, and have a pet octopus named Fred. I may not be a wizard from Chicago, an iron druid on the run, a hot-tempered maker who hates Girl Scouts, or part of a destructive duo from New York City, but I guarantee you'll be entertained.

Story
The fae prince caught my eye the moment I saw him, and no, it didn’t have anything to do with the fact that he was being abducted. It’s not even that Callisto adores the large mount who wants to maim him. Or that every time he smiles, flowers bloom around him. No, there’s something else that draws me to him, though when the kingdom begins to fall apart around us, I realize I’m not the only one who wants him.

Is this the end for Redemption?
Salvation is ramping up their efforts to destroy Redemption. Will Redemption answer the call with bravery or will they succumb to the power of Bucks? Christopher keeps us guessing on how this will end. Kim gives the characters life with her talents. Great series. I am sad it is finished.

Who has the Power?
Christopher Artinian has done it again! How can one book make you laugh, make you cry, make you want to give someone a hug and make you want to off someone while reading the pages?
Callie and the other citizens of Redemption are preparing for the worst: an attack by Salvation guards working at the behest of one man on a power trip. Little do they realize that this attack might come from ordinary people just like them who are only doing his bidding in an attempt to save their family members. When some of the characters I have come to know and love are killed, I railed against the unfairness of the whole situation! Even though these are fictional characters in a book, I feel like they have become my friends as I follow their journey. Be sure to have some tissues handy while reading this one!
The book is full of Mr. Artinian's trademark witty dialogue, great characters and a bit of education along the way. Of course, there is plenty of action and terrifying moments as beloved characters put themselves in danger at every turn. I truly enjoy the growth and character development in this series, turning some truly evil people into someone you would love to get to know as they discover their true selves.
I especially enjoyed all of the spy-type references as characters are revealed to be part of a rebellion within Salvation. The descriptions of how messages were passed were truly unique and entertaining.
As always, the narrator, Kim Bretton, has brought this book to life. Her individual voices for each character really moves the story along at a fast pace and her performance adds a lot to an already great book.
Mr. Artinian has created a plausible world, filled with great characters. This book has plenty of action and is filled with emotion. I highly recommend this one to anyone who enjoys post-apocalyptic fiction (or just a great story!).

Power Part 2
Loved this audio book by Christopher Artinian. Another interesting installment in this amazing series. It was sad to lose so many, but how this book rapped up was very satisfying! It feels like this is the end, but I sure hope not!

Yet another great installment
I really enjoyed this installment of the series. I think, minus the sadness, this one was one of my favorite endings. I like when things are tidied up in a nice little vow. 🙂 Kim did an awesome job narrating.

Amazing as always!
Love this series so much. Christopher is amazing at writing interesting characters and making you love them all. They are brilliantly smart, loving, sarcastic and fun. You want them as your friends.
The people are uprising in the bunker and some of these struggles and fighting to survive may come to an end. This could easily have been the last in the series but I hope it’s not. Phil is still young favorite character and I love how much he has grown.
Kim Bretton is my favorite narrator.

Had to listen twice!
I didn’t like the grief… no one is safe.
My heart was in my chest so often, had to listen twice because there was so much going on.
So many angles and surprises.
You’d think considering I had already read, I wouldn’t have been as shocked.
Kim smashed it again.
Looking forward to being back with Callie and the crew soon.

Absorbing Thrill Ride
I was so captivated by the events in this story that I listened to the audiobook in one sitting. I admired the way the characters were written as my imagination was so drawn into this story, that I felt the characters' pain as they coped with their struggles and their losses. I liked the underlying theme which Callie summed up in one of her persuasive speeches. I thought Kim Bretton's narration added a depth of emotional appeal with her expressive performance. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which included my honest opinions regarding this story.
