Cheri Warcholak Lohrey
About this listen
Powered by the Pivot: Secrets Revealed in My Journey to Manifest Peace, Love & Gratitude is Cheri Warcholak Lohrey's raw, riveting, and heartfelt account of love, family, crushing challenges, and unbreakable courage. In it, Cheri Pauses to both mourn and celebrate her roots. She takes you on a heartbreaking ride from college student to hospital patient after being struck, along with her mom and sister, by a "metal beast" of an automobile at age eighteen. Decades later, she chooses to Breathe after nearly drowning in the dark days following her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
Throughout Powered by the Pivot, Cheri lightens the heavy moments with her humor and gratitude for her many blessings. Her storytelling will spark memories of your own childhood. She believes in her powerful decision to "Never Give Up" and to share her challenges and Pivots as her life's mission continues to manifest.
Drive with the windows down, feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your face; let go of the experiences that cause your heart to ache, those you can't control. Seek solitude as you delve into your own journey; live, take action, and envision your life — the one you choose. Cheri's determination is driven from both a literal and metaphorical ride. Find out how she is able to Pivot.

For thirty years, John Bishop was a pastor. Along the way, he learned that everyone does stupid things. We lie to our families. We lie to ourselves. We take long lunch breaks and sneak cigarettes when we said we’d quit. Sometimes, we take a sabbatical from our nice, comfortable life as a pastor and start running drugs for the Sinaloa Cartel, then get caught and spend five years in federal prison.

My name is Brett. I'm a college-educated man who was once a husband of 26 years with two children, three businesses, and a large home with an actual white picket fence. I'm also a drug addict. And I have a tale to tell. It's about the despair of addiction and the absolute certainty that it can be overcome. Recovery is not simply abstinence, but a process of growing up. I spent my entire life searching for the key to long-term sobriety. I would like to share with you what I have learned.

Orphaned at just thirteen in a still-segregated Washington, D.C., George Raveling was introduced to a relatively unpopular sport—basketball—in high school. The rest, as they say, is history. Raveling went on to become one of the winningest coaches of all time, a mentor to legendary athletes, and a confidant of the sport’s greatest coaches, including Bob Knight and John Wooden. He convinced Michael Jordan to collaborate with Nike on the Air Jordan. He led the 1984 U.S. men’s Olympic team to their ninth gold medal.
