About this listen
A single mom, a sheriff with a past—face escalating danger to their small tourist town.
Her future and her child’s hinges on her new business’s success.
Audra Blaire opens a waterfront coffee and pastry shop. Summer tourists flock to the southern shore of Lake Superior’s beautiful clean blue waters and the Apostle Islands National Park. And Audra hopes they enjoy her wares!
But Memorial Day, the start of the all important summer tourist season, begins with an unnerving bang. A tripwire detonates a blaze near town—someone practicing, preparing?
He is the new sheriff intent on overcoming his past.
After years in big city law enforcement, Sheriff Carter Harding has returned to his hometown where some still hold his rebellious teens against him. More booby-traps follow – – destroying property, and alarming residents and summer visitors alike. Though he fights it, self doubt about his ability to stop the fires bedevils him.
He recognizes she's the target.
All the fires target people Audra is close to. He can't help being drawn to Audra, an amazing woman. And she resents the whispers and rumors about Carter, a fine man her daughter is drawn to.
Can Audra and the sheriff break free of the past and have a future together? And will he crack the case before someone, maybe Audra or her little girl, is severely injured or…dies? Don’t miss this fast-paced romantic suspense, book one in a compelling series by a USA Today Bestselling Author!
“There is family drama, an arsonist, a romance, and more in this very entertaining, well written book.”
“This book showed the power of faith, forgiveness, and acceptance.”

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Except, perhaps, for Winston Smith. Whilst working at the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, he secretly dreams of freedom. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
Who is Audrey Hoedemaker? It's a question her sister Maureen has heard more times than she can count, and she doesn't know what the short answer would be. Little sister, troubled teen, backpacker, musical theatre coach, con artist, childcare worker. Murderer. A tragic, traumatic childhood casts a long shadow on the Hoedemaker sisters. Maureen has worked hard to move beyond the violence of the past and build a good, honest life for herself. Audrey, however, just can't seem to do the same, careening from one state of chaos to another.

Story
In fifth grade my teacher set us up with pen pals from a different school. Thinking I was a girl, with a name like Misha, the other teacher paired me up with her student Ryen. My teacher, believing Ryen was a boy like me, agreed. It didn't take long for us to figure out the mistake. And in no time at all, we were arguing about everything. The best take-out pizza. Android vs. iPhone. Whether or not Eminem is the greatest rapper ever. For the next seven years, it was us. She's the only one who keeps me on track, talks me down, and accepts everything I am.

Need to know series
This whole series was published on Audible a few days ago, However not only was the order of the books not identified, but the titles were not tied to a series. Even though I’ve read several of the books already, they have been out of order. And I still don’t even know the name of the series.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
