Once upon a time, in a little Texas town in the middle of nowhere, there lived a boy who everyone called ugly....
When half your face is covered in a big, blotchy birthmark, you get used to the staring and the whispers. You get used to feeling unwanted.
Until he walks into my bar....
Tall, gorgeous, and all kinds of out of place. And the way he looks at me ain’t like no way I've ever seen before.
Does he mean it when he says he wants to take me away from here? Nobody’s ever wanted me around for long. Can I believe Barrett when he says that’s what he wants?
Something about the word Daddy on my lips makes it all seem possible. Even if I don’t really believe anyone would want to keep an ugly boy like me forever....
***Pretty Boy is a low-ish angst, steamy, sweet daddy story with NO age play.

When Barrett meets Sterling, the connection is instant and palpable and the potential Daddy/boy relationship is obvious. Barrett has his work cut out for him making Sterling believe in him when no one has ever believed in or invested in Sterling before. What unfolds is an endearing, lovely Cinderfella-esque story that I was all in for. The story expects you to believe in fairy tales because some of what develops here seems implausible in real life. But the story is so engaging that you can’t help but buy into it and get swept along.
In terms of narration, Tim Paige and Liam DiCosimo do a fine job. The characters are distinct, and there’s definitely more happening here than just reading lines. However, some of the delivery seemed a bit off or flat. I’ve listened to this pair before and I’ve always found them to be a solid narrating duo, but I’ve never been blown away by them. I do think this is one of their better outings. It definitely leaned more into a vocal performance this time and there was definite emotion communicated.
Overall, I think the audio here complements this terrific book well and I wholeheartedly recommend buying the book and the audio and doing some immersion reading for the full experience. I think you’ll really enjoy this treat of a story.
Terrific book complemented with a solid audio

I'm not sure which narrator, but the guy who reads for Barret sounds like he's reading an advertisement or is a news anchor. It's just terrible.
Sooo hot!!!

The dual narration was excellent, both narrators kept consistent voices for the characters throughout the book.
Super sweet, low angst book!
