About this listen

I don’t have time for a relationship, not even with the adorably dorky vet I can’t seem to stop bumping into… *sigh * pass the oil and lube

Between running a garage full of beefed-up gear-head mechanics and bailing my idiot brother out of trouble every other week, the last thing I have time for is a relationship.

I’ve tried it too many times, and the ridiculous reasons I always find to end it have become a running joke around the garage. But I’ve learned my lesson. No. More. Boyfriends.

I don’t care how many times Porter falls asleep drunk in my bed or how cute he looks covered in oil smears while I teach him how to fix up the vintage car he has rusting away in his garage; I’m not going to fall for him.

Even if I did, what do a mechanic and a veterinarian have in common anyway?

It’s better if we’re only friends…friends who occasionally fiddle with each other’s crankshafts....

Strong start to the series

After really enjoying the Four Bears Construction series, I was glad to see KM Neuhold had another series featuring mechanics this time. Finally Porter gets his HEA! And I’m so ready for Gates and Tal’s story next. Tim and Liam are a great narrating duo.

Perfect Story

I think I may have enjoyed this even more as an audiobook. Narrators Tim Paige and Liam DiCosimo are both new to me but they did such a great job of each character, and really the tone of the whole book. I love dual narration, and I hope to listen to more books by them.

My original review when I read it still stands, but if you like audiobooks you should absolutely give this one a go.

Original Review:

“As far as I’m concerned, my pickles are his pickles. Yes, in the dirty way too.”

Classic KM Neuhold! For those that have been mourning the loss of the Four Bears series, fear not, Big Bull Mechanics have strolled in to steal your hearts, make you hot and bothered, and give you a good laugh. And you still get to catch glimpses of your previous Bear crushes.

Enter Porter (our adorable and slightly nerdy-dirty talking Vet with a thing for a strong man who knows how to work with his hands) and Steele (the stoic owner of Big Bull Mechanics, whose heart is so big he barely has time to breathe, let alone date).

This duo will make you swoon, giggle, and realize that life is always better with someone to share your life, worries, and laughs with. Though they worry they can’t give enough of themselves to the other, they eventually discover that giving yourself doesn’t mean having to drop everything else…it means you get to do it together.

“Uh, no, of course not”, I lie again, sternly reminding myself to protect these emotionally delicate mechanics from the harsh realities of nature’”

This is a wonderful angsty free, dirty talking, age gap, puppy-owning tale to make you wish for your very own Big Bull.

Big Bull

I jumped on this book when it first came out and loved it so much. Then to get a chance to listen to it - yeah, so not turning that down! I love the story of these two. Steel the big brawny guy that is looking for someone - anyone - that will meet all his picky needs. Porter, overwhelmed by life. The two have to adjust to have other priorities and this story has the journey and getting them to their HEA. When you have characters in your head it is always hard to adjust to someone else's voices. However, both Time Page and Liam DiCosimo do a great job of portraying Steel and Porter. I will definitely listen to this one again!

Did you say bears washing dogs?

What a way to start a new series!!!
Opposites do attract!!!
On the outside Porter looks like a nerdy veterinarian…but once Steele has him awake and in bed he gets to meet the dirty talking sexy man behind the white coat.
Steele owns his own garage and looks like the bad boy every one wants (complete with tattoos and a sexy beard). He’s only looking for a night or two with the sexy vet.
Both men are too busy with their businesses and lives to have time for a relationship. Fate (and their friends) have other ideas.

These characters are so well written you will forget they aren’t real! Awesome world building with some guest appearances from the authors previous books/series. This will definitely have you anxiously awaiting the next book in the series to see what happens with this group of mechanics and which character with get their HEA.

This is a fun read that will have you laughing and wishing you owned a pack of dogs just to attend the dog wash fundraiser! Don’t pass this feel good read up!!!
The audible version is amazing! The narration will have you drawn into the story and you will listen to it in one setting! Be ready to laugh out loud!

LOVED

Crankshaft is the first book in the new Bull Mechanics series. This is a spinoff of Four Bears Construction series.

This is such a feel good, fun, sweet read with little to no angst. I gobbled this book up.
Steele and Porter could not appear to be more opposite yet fit together like puzzle pieces.
I loved seeing how possessive Steele is with Porter.

These two will capture your heart, make you laugh and get you to swoon as they achieve their HEA.
I can't wait for the next book in the Big Bull Mechanics series.
Tim Paige and Liam DiCosimo do an outstanding job of bringing this story to life. I loved the dual narration.

The softer side of big, tough guys!

This was my first KM Neuhold book. I’m sure it will be the first of many! Loved the big softies from Bull Mechanics, loved our sweet veterinarian (I got such a Schitt’s Creek vibe from Porter!), loved the absolutely endearing relationship our MCs developed. Low angst, high heat, and two great narrators? Yesss!

Absolutely perfect

I adored reading this book and had never listened to a dual narration audiobook before - Liam and Tim knocked it out of the park! The humor, the heat and the love shone through with every word and really brought KM Neuhold’s work to life. Excellent and I can’t wait for the next one!

The narration brings this story to the next level

Tim Paige and Liam Dicosimo did a fantastic dual narration of this story. Tim portrayed Steele while Liam portrayed Porter.

Steele is the owner of Big Bull Mechanics.

Porter is a fresh out of school vet who owns the vet clinic he worked at during his teen years.

Neither guy is looking for romance and both have been struggling with work life balance.

Kyleen has another hit series on her hands. This is book 1 of her new series Big Bull Mechanics. This is a spin-off series of Four Bears Construction so expect to see the guys make a few appearances.

Low angst, opposites attract, funny, hot, sweet, with all the feels and did I mention bunnies!?!

Fantastic listen!

Crankshaft is a great start to the Big Bulls Mechanics series!

Porter:
I have been a Porter fan since his failed attempts in the Four Bears Construction books but if I thought I was wanting him to find his prince I mean bear… then I was wrong. He is adorable, sweet, and a bit sassy. If I had one complaint it’s that he doesn’t realize his own self worth but isn’t that what makes him endearing. I won’t go as far as to say he needs Steele to see it but give him the push to believe in himself.

Steele:
Sometimes the typical bear can appear to have a grouchy personality but I didn’t feel that way with Steele. Although he is busy you could tell how easygoing and settled he is with his people. The hero complex he has can always lead to no one paying attention to his needs but this is where Porter comes in and really sees him and what he needs in a partner.

Tim Page and Liam Dicosimo bring to life sweet veterinarian and snarky mechanic in a way that lets you immerse yourself in the Big Bulls Mechanics!
