About this listen

Loner. Outcast. Monster. Werewolf.

When it comes to being a shifter, only the strongest survive. Giselle has spent her life in the human foster care system. Wolfing out under the full moon has caused her to be rejected by more families than she's bothered to count. No one wants to adopt a freak!

Never knowing love, acceptance, or what it means to belong to a pack, she's had to become an alpha. Lone wolves take care of themselves.

Now, a family of shifters has come forward, offering to adopt her. The opportunity of a lifetime. But, when something seems too good to be true, it usually is. This pack comes with a whole new set of problems.

Involved in a deadly turf war dividing the shifters and witches in Las Vegas, they're prepared to defend their territory at all costs. And when the claws come out, death is not too far behind.

Is belonging to a pack worth submitting to the will of another alpha, sacrificing freedom, or risking her life for a war she didn't start?

Good Young Adult Story

Story starts with a 16 yr old girl/ Werewolf in the government system of Foster homes. Because of her (abnormally) she keeps being returned to the social service people as not fitting in. This story starts as she is being dropped off at another Foster Home and she just wants to give up trying any more. Narrator did a good job with the characters through out the story.

A Great Listen

Another new family, how long will Giselle stay here. As a child that grow up in the foster care system, Giselle knows most families have no desire to deal with her difference. Her new family seems to be more understanding then the other that came before. Everything is going great until she starts school and she starts to wonder who's telling the truth and who's lying. You'll find yourself listening longer then you intended as you're drawn into the suspense of the story. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review.

More a mystery thriller with a paranormal twist th

The perfect placement slowly unravels as a past that tore apart the community comes back to haunt again. Different take on shifter lore and community that was intriguing enough that I looked forward to my daily commute. The narrator was easy to listen to and did a good job differentiating the voices.

More a mystery thriller with a paranormal twist than a teen shifter romance (though there is quite a bit of that too, it does stay clean and takes a backseat to the mystery). Definitely YA, as the main characters are young and impetuous and think themselves invincible. More sisterly drama than love triangle tension.

Book 1 in a series, this could be read as a standalone and the central concern in the story is completely resolved. However, there are still A LOT of questions I have about the world that has been created as well as the ramifications of a few things so good thing there are more books :)

Family ties

I really enjoyed this story. It was well written and had enough drama and action to keep the story moving at a good pace. It covers questions that teens face on a regular basis and shows how complicated relationships can be.

Two werewolf packs on the verge of war

Giselle has been shuffled from foster home to foster home. When she's dropped off at her newest foster home she finds she may just have found her forever family. Problem is there may be a war between her new family and the other pack in the area. She is afraid of joining a family at war and wants to figure out if there is a way to stop it. Giselle is fierce, determined and stubborn. However, she makes more headway in finding out what happened than anybody involved. I love her character and determination to right the wrongs that started it all. On top of all that, she has the attention of a handsome witch and the cutest werewolf at the school. This is an exciting and unpredictable book and well worth reading.

An excellent tale!

**** SPOILER ALERT ****
In "Pretty Little Werewolf" Salidas deftly balances action and exposition while doing a fantastic job of world building and character development.  It started off feeling a bit "Romeo And Juliet" then the author threw a curveball at me.  I loved it!! I couldn't put this book down until I'd devoured it like a werewolf tearing into a nice rare steak!! I highly recommend this entertaining page turner!  I can hardly wait to get my hands in the next installments!!
I originally read the book by eye, then the author gave me an Audible version to listen to.... I've given my opinion of the story already, now I'd like to talk about the narrator of the audio version. Kelli Tager does a splendid job of voicing this book and really bringing the characters to life. In addition her audio production work is top notch! I can hardly wait to hear more of her narrations.
I recommend getting this book in any format that suits your tastes.
Q:  Will Giselle finally find a pack to belong to?
Q:  Can Giselle and krew broker peace between the two rival packs?
A: Grab this book, read it, and find out!
In the interest of transparency: I was given a review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review.
It is my own honest opinion.

Absolutely wonderful!

This book has everything mystery, shifters, witches, and romance. What more could you ask for? I like the way the kids took control of the situation, even though they weren't allowed to speak or see each other. In one way it reminds me of Romeo and Juliet, but nobody dies at the end
