About this listen

In Primary Command (The Forging of Luke Stone - book number two), a ground-breaking action thriller by number one bestseller Jack Mars, elite delta force veteran Luke Stone, 29, leads the FBI’s special response team on a nail-biting mission to save American hostages from a nuclear submarine. But when all goes wrong, and when the President shocks the world with his reaction, it may fall on Luke’s shoulders to save not only the hostages - but the world.

Primary Command is an un-putdownable military thriller, a wild action ride that will leave you listening late into the night. The precursor to the number one bestselling Luke Stone Thriller Series, this series takes us back to how it all began, a riveting series by bestseller Jack Mars, dubbed “one of the best thriller authors” out there.

Book number three - Primary Threat - is also available for pre-order!

Also available is Jack Mars’ number one bestselling Luke Stone Thriller series (seven books), which begins with Any Means Necessary (book number one)!

I'm finding it harder to find books I enjoy as writers just can't keep up with my favorites. I really like this book, so far only two in this series. Looking forward to additional stories.

Overall a good story, it’s good to get the background on what made Luke Stone and his characters development.

I highly recommend the book, but I just had to note that the reader is great when he’s narrating but when he performs as a character he makes the characters whiny and nasally. I almost quit listening early in the book because of this. I’m glad I stu
ck it out because it’s a great book!!

narrator was the worst I've ever heard. I've listened to well over 100 books.

I have really enjoyed the entire Luke Stone series! The narrator needs to work on his sound effects and the cadence of his voice. It doesn’t fit this type of story.

Love this author!

I am enjoying the Luke Stone stories so far but the narrator kind of ruins the story at times. it's like he's time traveller and is a 1930's gangster from Massachusetts.
the story itself is good, there were a few holes that were plot devices, but nothing too bad. I think Mars might need to look into what a double action trigger actually is, but otherwise, pretty good.

Great story, narrator is far from my favorite

Too many intertwine character. I thought the story list focus of the main character and ended abruptly.
