Publisher's summary

As the world's attention traces the reluctant social advances in the Middle East, Princess Sultana and her female friends and family have stepped forward to rescue young women in the region who are cruelly mistreated by their husbands, their fathers, and the brutish ISIS soldiers who kidnap them. But inside the Princess' lavish Saudi Arabian palace, sparks of anger and bolts of fear crackle because of the secrets kept to forward her efforts to help women and children.

Kareem is furious when Sultana guards Maha's secret to volunteer to help traumatized children at a refugee camp in Turkey. When a beautiful Yemeni woman visits the royal palaces of Saudi Arabia, Sultana is saddened yet mesmerized to be told the story of the woman's seven marriages. Meanwhile, Kareem’s father takes a new wife - and Princess Sultana is blamed.

Excellent story / great narration

I have read all five of the series. They are all well worth it. Even though some times the author goes back to narrate something already told in other book, she is brief and it doesn’t sound repetitive because there is always something that wasn’t told. I highly recommend the whole series, and I really hope there is a continuation to Sultana’s life story.

Farewell

As always when finishing a series one feels sad and lost when thinking where to go from here. This last book was as good as the preceding 3 and fits right in. In truth reading these one can enjoy the continuity of not only the tone and stories but the narrator as well (something to always be grateful for).

Not as gripping as previous books

I thoroughly enjoyed all the previous books written about Princess Sultana. However, in this book she seems ignorant. While the reading is excellent, I grew tired of hearing “Princess Sultana” speak of her lavish life and the ridiculous things her family does and surrounds themselves with. Although her efforts to help women are admirable, she speaks of how her husband had what is basically a private hospital clinic built at their home, because he worried their son might be in a car accident and unable to reach the hospital fast enough. The way she speaks of it in the same book where she describes the injustices against women is just sickening.

Not as good as the other books in series

I have read all the Princess books in the series and was disappointed with this one. I agree with another review that it talked mostly about her riches and extravagant life more than other books. It is definitely time for this series to end. I enjoyed the first few and then the writer lost her touch
