Adam knows that to prevent history from repeating itself, he'll need to dive deep into the darkness of his own upbringing. When his efforts unleash dreams and visions he's spent decades burying, he's unsure if his sanity will survive.

To bring the missing girl home alive, Adam must solve the riddle of his tragic past. But between his fractured psyche and the schemes of a madman, he may lose himself in the process....

GREAT SUSPENSE/THRILLER!

This is a well written, well developed story with a strong plot, complex characters, and fastening circumstances. I thought narration was great, and both the story and narrator kept my attention from beginning to end. It's really a great mystery/thriller that I think anyone and everyone will enjoy. Would definitely recommend it to others, and would definitely be interested in reading more in the series. Well done!

Very strong, multi-dimensional characters

Adam Rutledge has a special gift - he can see through the eyes of crime victims. He returns home just as a young girl goes missing, and quickly gets involved in the search for the missing child. At first listen, this is a psychological mystery about a man returning home after a tumultuous childhood.

As I listened I quickly got caught up in the characters' personal histories and struggles. The author goes deep into the minds of her characters - how decades-old friendships shaped them; how adults look back and process childhood trauma; and how pain can be turned around to help others. The suspects are given the same care.

The mystery plot is solid and well crafted. As the characters become more complicated, the author adds layers to the plot. I listened to this book over the course of two days (the equivalent of not being able to put it down). Highly recommend.

Good Book That Kept My Attention Throughout

I am always looking for new authors as I read quite prolifically. When I had the opportunity to request this book for free as long as I took the time to review it, I went for it.
I like books that include a bit of "twilight zone" aspects while keeping the storyline otherwise straightforward and believable (think Dean R Koontz). This book did well in this regard. The storyline flows well and we slowly learn more about the main characters as the book progresses.
The narrator was solid. He definitely did not detract from the book and he depicted believable male and female characters without wild pitch changes.
Overall, this is a book I would recommend to friends.

A story with many layers.

A good mystery with a well constructed story with characters that are easy to be drawn to.

The story in my view uses unneccessary gimmicks but with a good Narrator is able to hold the listeners interest for the entire Book.

Most listeners who enjoy this genre will consider this Audio Book worthwhile.

this is the first book by Judy Walker I have listened to. in my opinion I thought she does an excellent in building the story without giving away too much. Can't wait to listen to the next book. Alex Know does an very good job of telling the story and building suspense.

Interesting Story

Good story and interesting. Like others have said, this a good thriller with a dash of supernatural. I'll look for the next book. The narrator did a great job.
