The story was ok.
The reason why I did not enjoy the story as how I would have liked was because of one of the characters that really annoyed me. Diana one of the main characters was really frustrating and annoying, that’s why I skip most of her characters chapters. The ending was definitely not a good ending.

A 25-year-old spoiled Senator's daughter (Diana) figures the only way to get her dad's attention is to act like a royal B*tch, all the time. When his and her lives are threatened, in comes ex-special forces security expert Ethan. The rest is pure fluff with nothing really happening except the irresistible attraction of a forbidden relationship between Diana and Ethan. The first book ends in a cliff-hanger and I just couldn't get past it to the rest of the series, it's that insipid...

The story was ok - good BUT... the Narrator terrible... I just couldn't. She was being the character for the males and female's not to mention the other characters. Her voice never changed. She sounded It was like, listening to a 16yrs monotone ...
She was portraying a MC member And the woman he was trying to score with... LMBO...
I had to really focus to see/ hear who was actually or what characters it was...
***PS I really do hate giving bad reviews but I had to. Maybe, redo with 2 Narrator's.

DNF - I feel like two stars is being generous. But I did get through the first book maybe two thirds of the second before I threw in the towel and gave up.

I hated Diana. There was nothing redeeming about her. Ethan started off okay but I quickly got annoyed with him as well.

The narration was...not great

Book 1: Her Bodyguard
This is the first book I've read by Lexy Timms. I'm reading/listening to the book in the box set. The narration isn't that great so I bumped it up the 2x speed.

Also, I can't stand Diana. She's a spoiled, manipulative brat. I haven't found anything redeeming about her yet, including when she showed her soft underbelly to Ethan.


Book 2: Her Defender
I got to chapter 17 where the main characters had yet another misunderstanding due to not communicating and I couldn't do it. The characters are juvenile and immature. The author stresses how intelligent they are but I just found them TDTL.

I have my theory on where the threats are coming from but don't care enough to continue and find out if I'm right.
