About this listen

The first time I met Merrick Crawford was during my job interview.

Well, technically, I’d met him 20 minutes earlier when he’d barged into a fitting room a few doors down from my appointment.

I yelled. He yelled. After an argument while standing in my bra, I proceeded to smash the door into the gorgeous jerk, trying to yank it shut.

As you might imagine, I was freaked out when I discovered that the rude guy was my potential new boss.

Yet he didn’t seem to recognize me. Or so I thought.... Until we wound up bickering again during my interview and he told me to go sniff my armpit.

Okay, so maybe I hadn’t exactly been changing when he walked in on me. In my defense, I’d been stuck on a hot train for two hours and wanted to make sure I didn’t smell.

I obviously didn’t expect to get the job. But somehow an invitation to a second interview arrived in my inbox.

Before I left, I asked to see Merrick. I needed to know why I was even in consideration after our disastrous start.

Turned out, Merrick only wanted to hire me because I was the least competent candidate. It seemed his board was making him fill the position, against his wishes.

I didn’t really want to work in a place where my boss expected me to fail. But I figured maybe I’d enjoy proving him wrong. It was a little thing I dubbed the boss project.

What I wasn’t prepared for was that there would be other things I’d enjoy doing to Merrick Crawford.

Getting involved with the boss wasn’t the smartest choice.

But you know what they say about choices: Some we regret, some we are proud of. I just had no idea where this one was going to land.

Little Sebastian York

It was a pleasant fell good second chance romance. The narrators, Sebastian York and And Arndt, never disappoint, stellar narration. However, the story had little of Sebastian York, 65% of his delightful voice. I wish the plot had more participation of the male character. The story itself didn't disappointed but went slow until its reveal. I was waiting much more of Vi Keeland. Overall, it was somehow entertaining. Happy reading! ;-)

It never fails a very good story line

The start of the book was kinda slow But it was a good slow Because I didn't have a lot of time to read but once it started I couldn't put it down and finished it in two days.

Good storyline.

This book was good, not fantastic though. There were parts of the story that I didn't see coming, but it was about the character's past. The present storyline was pretty basic and predictable.

Another win for Vi Keeland….

Ms. Keeland never disappoints in her writing. Romance genre is such a mixed bag, 80% mind numbing drivel, whilst maybe 20% great escape & entertainment. Keeland fills her books with intelligent characters, sharp witty dialogue, bawdy humor (my fave), reasonable scenarios with reasonable actions. I just wish she could write & publish faster (selfish, I know. But it can’t be helped). Go VK!

Perfect.

Once in a while a book comes along and grabs me so fiercely that I devoted all my free times to the book. My words can’t explain how perfect The Boss Project is. The characters are lovable and unforgettable, the story has the perfect amount of laughter, humor, heat and angst. I highly recommend this book.

Wow just wow

This was definitely an incredible story. Emotional funny, steamy, You named it Had it. So all the feels. It certainly helped even more with Sebastian and Andi because they certainly know how to make make you feel in the story why you're listening to it. This story had more than just making you Squirrum in your seat from the steam or making you cry from the emotion or making you laugh out loud but It did do all those things. There's times you learn from fictional stories and this one had a statement in it that just somehow hit me. And it had to do with mental health. That it's oh not only OK to get help but it makes you stronger. Was the story about mental health not really in some ways yes so I guess this is a spoiler. Which I hate to give away. So I'm gonna stop there but I'm gonna say that I think everyone needs to read it because it's worth the read. I actually think it's one of Vi Keeland best stories I've ever read. Oh and it's definitely a page Turner.

Loved this story, this one made me laugh out loud a few times. Great job bringing to light tough topics not often addressed. I listened to the whole book within 24 hours! Highly Recommend!
