Awesome lecture series!

This is another great lecture series from Dr. Bill Creasy. He is always incredibly insightful and engaging. He often supplements the material with personal stories which are relevant and interesting. He has taken several trips to Israel and the Middle East where he visits the locations depicted in the Bible and he shares those first hand accounts which enables him to take you back to that point in time that the scripture is talking about.

The stories behind the songs

As familiar as so many of the Psalms are, this study enhanced both their beauty and meaning by telling the backstories of who wrote each, and in many cases (especially those by David) the historical context that inspired them. Dr. Creasy also broke down the poetic structure of some of the more elegantly written ones, revealing a new perspective what it took to create these spiritual works of art. Old favorites shine brighter, lesser knowns have been elevated. Great study.

So very good, if only it came

I have many of Dr. Creasy's audio books, but with Psalms, I really found it beautiful, if only we could have had the same hand out that his students got. I will be going to Logos to see if they are available.

Enthralling reading of Psalms

Dr. Creasy gave an enthralling reading of Psalms...verse by verse. He keeps you engaged through expressing the emotions of the Psalmist, pointing out the history of the psalms, and tying certain verses to the new testament.

hard to follow

first off, Dr Creasy's teaching is wonderful. what was difficult for me was that I found it quite difficult to follow along because the document he is reading from doesn't match word for word with any of the bible versions.

What a way to worship!

This study brought the book of Psalms into perspective In relation to the rest of the old testament. It gave me a deep appreciation for all of the writings in the Psalms. The background of the Psalms who wrote them and why maybe want to go back and do it all over again. I highly recommend the study.
