Después de escuchar este libro, y de visitar Puerto Rico en persona, me quedé triste con la información. Si es un resumen, debería ser màs preciso. Info contradictoria.

Some errors in calling the island as Costa Rica. Not enough information to see cause and effect of things that make peculiar the puertorrican culture.

Too superficial - it is Ok for tourist in need of a brief history

I listened eagerly to this Puerto Rico brief history, being a Puerto Rican myself. In general I liked it, but some inaccuracies made is perplexing to me:
1. Costa Rica is mentioned twice as if talking about Puerto Rico. Is that a performer mistake or the script mistake? And twice? Are you kidding me?
2. Names of people were mispronounced. To name one, the painter Francisco Oller’s lat name is sounded out as Oler, and not Oller (double Ls in Puerto Rican Spanish sound as the J in janitor). Although the performer has a beautiful voice, it was odd to hear her say some names of famous Puerto Rican’s wrongly.
Besides these critiques, I enjoyed the summary of my country, and I appreciate the effort, especially, that it was done in Spanish.

I know its meant to be a quick overview of the history but it is way too fast and the narrator is so monotone and painfully boring.
I will get the kindle or paperback version and read it myself.

The information serves as a brief overview. About a minute is spent on the 400 years between Columbus and the US invasion, most of the time is spent discussing politics between 1970 and 1998. The narrator replaces the name of "Puerto Rico" with "Costa Rica" several times which might lead the reader to question the credibility and accuracy of the rest of the recording. For a couple dollars, it's probably worth the listen nonetheless.

Don't know I'm still can't get over the "Costa Rica" mistake.

It was a good brief summary, but left out some important aspects of the history or key historical figures.

How could the performance have been better?

It seems like they didn't have anyone doing a review of what the narrator said. Like "Costa Rica" instead of Puerto Rico. "Roselo" instead of Roselló. Jajuya instead of Jayuya.
