About this listen

Cats and dogs don't traditionally get along, but there's one pussycat that Alpha shifter Ty Battle wants to set a-purrin': sexy lynx shifter Karen Padfoot. Unfortunately, he's got a terrible reputation as a player, and she's scorned all of his advances after one interrupted encounter a year earlier. When she comes to the Battle compound to plead for the release of her troublemaking father, who stole from the Battles' warehouse, he's finally got his chance; she'll have to work for him as a waitress at his nightclub to pay off her father's debt. Karen may be hissing and spitting mad, but if Ty has his way, he'll collar this sexy kitty for good.

Unfortunately, someone else wants to cage the feisty feline, and Ty's the only one who can keep her safe. Will Karen let her barriers down and trust the sexy bachelor with the bad boy reputation before it's too late?

heating up

this is the second book in the Timber Valley and even though it started off kind of a slow story it had more than one story going on through it now it did in the first book too but I didn't really realize it in this book I really stuck out that there was two things going on. now I was more fascinated by the second story line that I was the first but it didn't matter it was a great story Maxine of course did an excellent job she's the reason I picked these books up.

Lovin' this series

I am so glad I found Georgette St.Clair! Her books are just the escape I need. This story was hot with a bit of suspense. Maxine Mitchell did a fabulous job! Her growly alpha voices give me shivers! On to number 3!

Purrrfect listen!

This was an awesome book two for the Timber Valley Pack series. This book is about Ty one of the cousins of the Alpha of the Timber valley pack. I wasn't sure about this series at first because the books looked really short, but they have no filler so that's a good thing. Worth the credit, a good listen!

Enjoyable read. Well developed characters,.

Great series. The characters pull you in, the story is well developed and easy to follow. There is romance, heartbreak, misunderstandings, intrigue, a crazy bff who has your back and is willing to kick butt on behalf of her friend, when said best friend isn't busy keeping her out of jail. It's a well rounded story worth reading (listening). Enjoy!

Well developed story

This is only my 2nd Georgette St. Clair novel (first one being “Mated to a Capo”) and I must say her stories are well developed and multi-layered. I’ve read shifter series before, and none have blended other supernatural storylines/characters into the mix. I look forward to more of her stories. Also, Maxine Mitchell’s narration never disappoints.

2nd and it’s better ❤️❤️❤️

This is my second time going through Timber Valley Pack series. Georgette and Maxine are a powerhouse with this series. Each book contributes to and builds the storyline and with Maxine’s narration I’m drawn in. Her voices for these characters are awesome… (I love her voice in every book I listen too.

3.5 much better than the first.

I can really see the growth here. Though this story follows identical story beats as the first book the dynamics and characters are handled worlds better in this installment. Karen is a great female lead. She has a strong back bone and I enjoyed how protective she was about her siblings. Ty was able to be charming where maxwell wasn't granted this in the last installment. Although Ty is just as domineering as Maxwell, his want of control has context to Karen's forced role to always be in control so it made for a more interesting dynamic between the two that made sense. He wasn't controlling for alpha sake like max. I also enjoyed how their initial miscommunication and misunderstanding that kept them apart for so long was cleared up quickly and they continued to talk and communicated like adults afterwards.

Until they didn't lol
I was a bit annoyed that this whole book not only did Ty but literally every other adult that talked to Karen communicated how much he loved her, how much he has grown up and matured and wanted her and even after their first break up was caused by misunderstanding and miscommunication... Karen still opted to misunderstand and miscommunicate for the conclusion of this book. It was very out of character for her. I supposed old habits die hard for Georgette as miscommunication was rampant in the first book. I suppose I should be glad it was toned down. Many things I didn't like in the first book were toned down here dramatically and I commend the author for improving their writing. I do think these reads will ultimately be formulaic but some writers just work better that way.
