About this listen

Silver Medal winner of the 2023 Independent Publisher Book Award

Are you ready to master Quantum Physics fast through just four bizarre discoveries, even if you’ve got zero prior experience or training in the subject?

Then keep reading....

In 1965, the great American physicist Richard Feynman famously proclaimed, “I think I can safely say that nobody understands Quantum Mechanics." Is there any wonder why?

Particles that pop in and out of existence....

Spooky action at a distance that travels faster than light....

Infinite universes and branching realities….

Most people, unfortunately, were never taught how wonderful and spectacular quantum physics really and truly is in school....

And the ones who do receive formal training are overwhelmed with advanced mathematics that only makes sense to a fraction of the population....

In this book, we will break through the confusion and reveal to you the most important ideas of quantum physics, told through the amazing true story of just four bizarre discoveries–many of which were made completely by accident!

In Quantum Physics, Into the Light, you’ll discover:

  • How one young physicist accidentally discovered quantum physics with a math trick and changed our entire understanding of light and matter forever.
  • The true secret nature of light (get ready to be extremely confused).
  • How a playful riddle about a dead cat started as a joke but later smashed our entire interpretation of reality forever.
  • How a man you’ve never heard of took us to the brink of a Theory of Everything (and why we’re not there yet).
  • And a whole lot more!

So if you’re ready to master quantum physics fast (and in plain English), buy this audiobook now!

I highly recommend this audiobook! The author has written a well researched and understandable introduction to quantum physics. I never thought I would say that outside of a Marvel reference. This book is great for beginner’s or those simply wanting to brush up on their knowledge. The audiobook crisscrosses from the start of quantum physics to those who have laid the groundwork for the subject and onto its fundamental theories. This is a must listen!

I have always found Quantum Physics quite intimidating, such a complex subject to fully grasp and digest. I'm so glad I found this book. The author did an incredible job in breaking down multiple topics within this field in an easy to comprehend manner, his writing style is so engaging! The book covers many interesting topics such as the Big Bang theory, black holes, electrons, dark energy, gravity and much more. I am so glad that now I have a much better understanding of Quantum Physics and able to have interesting conversations with my son who is fascinated by space! This is perfect for those who want to brush up the knowledge from school days and no longer feel intimidated by this field! Highly recommend!

I must say that before I started this book, I was a little apprehensive as quantum physics can be complex and confusing but that was not the case when I was done listening. I really liked how the author broke down the concepts of physics in such an easy to understand and simple manner. I specifically like the part about the creation of the universe and space and time. If you've ever wanted to learn about quantum physics, then this book is for you.

As an interior designer, I thought I couldn't be further away from being interested in quantum physics. But I do like reading and listening to books on many different topics to keep my mind engaged. When I saw the title, I decided that I can understand this mysterious quantum physics stuff. Well, I was right. This audiobook is not just easy to understand but it's fascinating to listen to as it presents quantum physics in a very creative and engaging manner. And excellent narration keeps up with the overall high quality of the book. The most interesting chapters for me were the quantum physics applications. However, one chapter stands out: What really happened at Chernobyl. I lived 60 miles from Chernobyl when the disaster happened, so I know firsthand what it felt like, not from the HBO series. I'm glad the book gives a very good explanation of the accident because most people have no idea about it. Many thanks to John Stoddard!

Fascinating and informative

This is an audiobook that provides an introduction to the strange and mind-bending world of quantum physics. Stoddard has done a great job breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand language, making it accessible for beginners. The audiobook builds on each previous chapter and delves into some of the more bizarre discoveries in the field.

Joel Richards' narration is clear, concise, and engaging, making it easy to stay focused on the content. Overall, this audiobook is well-written, well-narrated, and an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning about quantum physics.

I admit that even after listening to the entire book, I don't have a solid grasp on quantum physics- but that is the fault of my brain and not the author. There was a quote in the book (not from the author but a famous person quote and I can't remember from whom- LOL) that said, "The universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we CAN imagine." That resonates with me. I kept hearing all of the amazing stories and examples in the book and thinking, "That can't be true." Even though I am sure it is. I just can't wrap my mind around it!

This book is way more interesting than I ever thought possible for a book on quantum physics and has a really engaging style and tone. The examples/stories the author uses to highlight the contents of each chapter are fun and cool, and I am impressed with how this topic can be addressed for "beginners." Hats off!

The narrator also does a really good job of keeping the listener engaged. Highly recommend!

Still above my head, but great book!

Down and dirty explanation of quantum physics. I enjoyed it during evening walks. You won't be able to retain everything of course because the concepts are complex. You will certainly walk away with more understanding of quantum physics than you had before listening to the book.

explanation of quibits was the best I've heard.
