Nice to have more than one narrator

The story seemed more 'alive' with a male and female narrator. Not too shabby...

Derivative with a cliché in each sentence

The elements of the story have all been gathered from other books and movies we’ve seen and read - not to mention people in the news : New York City elites, artists and billionaires. If you know NYC , you’ll recognize some astute descriptions and there are a few instances of genuine insight or humor - but not enough to save it. Readers are performers - and do a pretty good job in general - but are forced to over-act at times based on the script they’ve been given.

Hopelessly vapid

Save your money and look elsewhere for entertainment. This "novel" was a series of cliches. Go for "First Wives Club" or "Snobs" or "People Like Us" or "Scruples". This was beyond awful. Tired plot, two-dimensional characters, and so many luxury brands mentioned, you'd think the author was paid for each product placement. Spare yourself the boredom.

She Can Have Him!

This book is simply awful. The plot is so predictible you can tell what was going to happen 200 pages in advance. The characters are all stock stereotypes. Rich wife who is taken for granted--check. Rich husband who is a jerk who had a bad childhood and a mean belittling father--check and check. Cool black secretary with Jamaican accent who is the only one who has her act together--check. Blond other woman who looks like a sex goddess bimbo but really has brains and talent--check. The author seems to think that making one character a Lesbian is being original. When the author is stuck moving the story along, she sends someone shopping. The dialogue is silly and trite and the love scenes are something out of a bad romance novel. I don't mind trash--it doesn't even have to be good trash to get me hooked. But when I am rolling my eyes, can finish the boring dialogue before the character says it, and am counting the pages to see when the pain will end 200 pages into the novel, it isn't trash, it is pure Garbage.

Just awful

Awful writing. Bad acting. Save your self time and skip this one. Unless I guess you love daytime soap operas.
