About this listen

From the nationwide satanic panic in the 1980s to local political cover-ups, shocking kidnappings, unsolved child murders, and scandalous pedophile rings, this book takes you behind the deceptive headlines and, finally, reveals what was going on in Omaha when all hell broke loose. Rich and well-connected members of Omaha's elite carried out unspeakable acts of abuse and even murder on innocent children. David Shurter was one of those sexually abused survivors forever scarred by the horrible rites performed on him by his own parents and other followers of Satan. It wasn't until he entered psychotherapy in midlife that long ignored childhood memories came to light, and when he discovered his gruesome nightmares were indeed real. This book, finally, is an expose of the surprising participants and unbelievable horrors involving murder, drugs, lavish parties, pedophiles, suspected government conspiracies, and the Omaha gay scene that cast a dark cloud of suspicion over an unsuspecting city. David Shurter takes you down the rabbit hole.

Amazing

Eerily relatable as an adult woman. I wasnt abused as a young child nor did I come from Satanists. However in my adulthood, I bumped into them. and much of what was conveyed from the people involved to theories that have loomed out there...gave me a sad sense of comfort...Its unfortunate that this horror happens in America. But it will remain our dirty secret unless someone with a sense of morality makes it stop. Pray for all survivors. And pray for Karma since Justice hasnt quite helped victims of this heinous and horrific tragedy against children and women (and men)... Loved it.

Excellent

Excellent, well written, very informative. Worth every cent. I think it's sad that David doesn't realize that he is still experiencing demonic activity. Shamanism is a lie from the devil. The devil used his pain, torture and abuse to give him false hope through shamanism.

Very well written

After reading the Franklin Scandal by John DeCamp several years ago, I have researched and read as much as possible about the subject, in an effort to learn and understand more about the occult religions that exist in plain sight all across our country. David Shurter’s book is chronologically written, while providing insight from a historical, spiritual, and first and perspective that gives the reader a well rounded understanding of his story.

Dark hole

this book has made me think of children on milk cartons. what was always a theory to me about the children, this book has backed my theory of evil Deeds Done by Society. life's not fair.

Compelling

Added a whole new perspective on the events in Omaha in the 1980s during the Franklin Credit Union scandal. The writer is knowledgeable and intelligent. There is some redundancy and some people had difficulty reading his shamanistic journeys, which I personally didn’t mind, as he documented his healing journey.

unique and fascinating

I listened intently and was appalled at what this man has experienced. While much of it rang true the ending was very repetitive and began to get confusing. I do believe this type of abuse occurs. I hope David gets well and lives meaningful life. Praying for him
