It’s all about power & corruption

It doesn’t matter who you are - it’s all about power & Wilbur manages to bring these stories together so well! Quite intense in some areas.

Excellent.

The Courtney series is a wonderful read/listen. I definitely recommend all six books and hope a 7th book will be coming in the future. Thank you Mr Smith.

Very poor Afrikaans accent.

The readers English presentation was excellent. However he made the Afrikaans accented characters sound childish and uneducated. I did not like the French accent either.

Great book to understand South Africa

I have read all the Courtney books by Wilbur Smith. Of course, the first “When the lion feeds” is the best, followed by “Power of the sword” and now “Rage” the biggest and most controversial. Rage is realistic, tough, sad and revealing - the ability of sane men to do truly evil things to their fellow humans while preserving their own “freedom.” It is a book that will make you think long after you came to the last chapter. All the characters are riveting and believable.

Great Story

Wow, this one takes some turns and twists as it works it way through the lives in the story and plot. A great job of wrapping up plots from previous books and yet building new ones in an interesting way. This was an enjoyable read and I couldn’t put it down.

Rage

I first read Rage years ago and now have heard the story. It is a very good book, well written and the narrator is amazing. He brought the story to life for me. Having read all the Courtney series I feel like I am surfacing from an adventure far away and that I know all those characters intimately. Great story telling. Wilbur Smith at his best. Highly recommended.

I see you Wilbur Smith. RIP

I want to see Africa because of these books, and I've jumped in and out of their history as well. What a tragedy that country has endured since the arrival of the white man...
