another in the classic over 50 year old series

in the tradition of Hornblower, a series about the British naval battles with Napoleon and his allies during that time period... the first book started in 1965 this book is starting to get into the early '70s but they still reflect the tradition of a hero overcoming odds and the hero being a good human being. the plots are interesting in historical the naval terms are complex but offer some people a new pathway to discover. it's an ensemble cast with reoccurring characters and some reoccurring villains. as long as you have the expectation of the type of book you're reading or listening to you're not going to be disappointed.

Turning Mutiny to Respect

Have you listened to any of Steven Crossley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Crossley again does a wonderful narration. He keeps his characters separate and interesting.

Any additional comments?

I really like this entire series. I believe it is every bit as good as Obrien's Aubrey/Maturin series without all the vulgarities.

Quick read, lively plot.

Narrator is superb. Consistent character presentation that is engaging and dramatic. Plot strides along with enough detail to create a realistic picture in your mind.
