About this listen

Ravensong is the second book in the Green Creek Series, the beloved fantasy romance sensation by New York Times bestselling author TJ Klune, about love, loyalty, betrayal, and family.

Complex and startling... Green Creek is the perfect setting.” —Charlaine Harris

The Bennett family has a secret: They're not just a family, they're a pack. Ravensong is Gordo Livingstone's story.

Gordo Livingstone never forgot the lessons carved into his skin. Hardened by the betrayal of a pack who left him behind, he sought solace in the garage in his tiny mountain town, vowing never again to involve himself in the affairs of wolves. It should have been enough. And it was, until the wolves came back, and with them, Mark Bennett. In the end, they faced the beast together as a pack... and won.

Now, a year later, Gordo has found himself once again the witch of the Bennett pack. Green Creek has settled after the death of Richard Collins, and Gordo constantly struggles to ignore Mark and the song that howls between them. But time is running out. Something is coming. And this time, it’s crawling from within. Some bonds, no matter how strong, were made to be broken.

The Green Creek Series is for adult listeners.

My poor heart - i also now love ravens.

I said it before and I will say it 1,000x's more - Kirt Graves - you are fabulous and I love your work. Thank you for sharing your voice and emotions with us.

Gordo and Mark - Oh boy where to start.

I was lowkey mad at Mark for a good long while. With how good Kirt's Narration is, paired with Tj's writing and story telling - Chefs kiss! Now, you wont find out till later just how much past mistakes played into their delayed pairing.

I have the biggest, softest spot for Gordo - he plays like the giant jerk who could care less, but oh how far from the truth that is. And Mark is just cute and def fills a little of the strong silent type but oh does he have a heart of pure gold.

Do you self a favor and jump right in. Revel in the love and this amazing story.

Mm, paranormal, second chance!

4.5 stars! Ravensong is the second book in the Green Creek series by TJ Klune. This is a paranormal, mm, shifter series and this one is between a wolf/shifter and a witch. Anddd it’s second chance!

“For those who hear the song of wolves, listen well, your pack is howling you home.”

I connected with this book so much more than the first book in the series. This brought all the angst, character development, and found family goodness I wanted. In this one we follow Gordo, who finds himself once again the witch of the Bennett pack. We have some overlap of time with the first book in the series, but of course following different characters. I actually enjoyed that and thought it brought so much more to the side characters and series as a whole. The romances in this series have so far just been okay for me, but it’s the characters and found family that I really love so much!

“I was like the sun and he was the moon, always chasing.”

I loved the carved, wooden raven Gordo gets, the Edgar Allan Poe nods, and just all the time with the Bennett pack. This book, and series, has a lot of emotional moments, but the balance of some light humor in there is done well. There were some moments in here that lagged for me and I think the book could have been tightened up/edited in places (one of my issues with the first book too), but when it’s good, it’s soooo good! I’m excited to continue on in the series and see how the overall plot of the series goes!

Grief and Hope

out of all of the series, I've found Ravensong to be the the most emotionally dense. it is a fantastic story that starts with an interesting braid of the missing 3 years from Wolfsong and Gordos history with the Bennetts. The hardest part about this story is watching Gordo suffer and suffer and suffer. it's all paid off and his successes are so narratively satisfying that it's worth every moment. from his relationship with the boys at the shop to his relationship with Thomas and Mark Bennett, every moment is enjoyable. wolfsong set the stage, Ravensong is where the larger game begins.

Simply amazing

Klune writes so beautifully it’s almost hard to believe these books can get any better, but Kirt Graves adds so much life to this series. I couldn’t imagine anyone else being the narrator. Through his narration you can tell how much love and passion he puts into his work. I highly recommend listening to the audiobook even if you have already read the physical copy of this book!!

BEST AUDIOBOOK!

THE STORY—THIS BOOK POPPED OFF!!! This book was balls-to-the-wall good! The world is sleeping on this series. The only reason it took me so long to finish it was because I wanted to keep my brain melted into this universe for as long as possible. I liked Wolfsong a lot, but thought it could be repetitive at times. Wolfsong was kind of soft, told in the monotone of Ox's voice (don't get me wrong, I loved it), but Ravensong is a gutpunch. I was skeptical going into this. I didn't think I'd give two shits about turning attention to the Gordo/Mark relationship, but Gordo's strong character and narrative voice along with the events in this book that unfurled so fantastically perfectly like BOOM BOOM BOOM, put this book on ANOTHER level well-over Wolfsong. This book is world-building craftsmanship. We are blessed to have TJ Klune give us his craftsman storytelling.

THE NARRATION—I can be really critical of audiobooks, but Kirt Graves does a subliminal job embodying Gordo. His performance in this was on another tier, and he completely made Gordo into a flesh and blood character. You can tell that he's connected to the material and the man turned this into an audio drama and not just another read.

Spellbound

Another beautiful story and narration. I was hungry (like a wolf) to know Gordo better, and I’m glad the author chose to feature him in Book Two. I’m completely enchanted.

Always an emotional roller coaster with TJ Klune

I really enjoyed this next installment in the wolf creek series. Totally recommend to my fellow queer family members and people who have an obsession with magic and werewolves. 10 out of 10 again Mr. Tj .

I don’t know why but I always tear up at points in your book. Stellar story writing and relatable characters. My friend and I have been competing who can finish your series first. We both enjoy your books.

Favorite character has got to be Rico. Always look forward to his funny one liners. I swear you should make t shirts of some quotes I would buy them!

Keep up the good work and keep making books please!! I know it’s perhaps a pain in the butt but you are awesome!! I would love to see you meet down with a fellow writer like Stephen king or Alexis hall!

Great sequel

This one was not nearly as emotionally charged for me as the first story. I didn’t cry like I did with the first. But I felt my heart drop into my stomach more than once. It didn’t break me like some of the scenes in Wolfsong but it did draw on strings of heartbreak and memories of self-sabotage in a way that brought a dull ache to my chest.

I also greatly admire how the tone, voice, and sentence structure change from the first book. It breathes a new character into the book. The narrators performance is incredible. All the same person but I know which character is speaking without being told.

I think I enjoyed the first book more overall, but this one had some really great plot twists worked in that made it interesting. It also provided real villains that made me angry and hate them. I think those are the best kind of villains.

Just as good the 2nd time around

This is my second time reading Ravensong and the first time listening to it in audio format. It’s just as incredible s it was when I initially read it. TJ Klune is truly the king of “Found Family”. Kirt Graves is phenomenal, 10/10 wish he could narrate my life.
